***I thought you would all love to know Knines found her forever home-and with a friend of mine too❤️. She is already settled in and loved sooo much. Shows sometimes it takes awhile for the right people to find their furry friend.****
Meet Knines. I’ve been fostering her for awhile now as she waits patiently for her next purrfect person to find her. She is the sweetest and most devoted 4 year old female. She really really wants to be an only kitty. She is so talkative and would be someone’s lap cat in a heart beat. If you know someone looking to adopt an older cat she would be a perfect girl. Please keep her in your thoughts if you hear of anyone considering an adoption.

When you don’t realize how little you are and join in the hunt with your aunties.
Also, it is time to start pushing for the aunts to find furrever homes too. They will need a quieter household with patient humans and if they get that they will provide so much unconditional love and happiness ❤️. Do you know anyone who fits the bill for Debbie Hairy, Billie Jeow or Linda Rondtscat???

If anyone has any questions or thinks they may want to possibly foster for the Coulee Humane Society, let me know. It is an amazing opportunity for people who love animals but no longer want to commit to adopting one because of future retirement plans (like me), people who travel or snowbird for the winter (you choose your assignments), or are not in a position financially to adopt-the humane society covers all costs for the fosters. The coordinator you would work with is amazing and very responsive and helpful.
There is also a support page for the foster parents to ask questions, share successes and support each other through the loss that does come with the adoption to a furrever home. You may think you could ‘never give them back’ but I assure you, you can and you will.

We added 3 three week old bottle babies to our foster family. Meet Milli, Nano and Pico. Current fosters Billie, Debbie Hairy and Linda Rondscat like to keep an eye on them. (Billie and Debbie are patiently waiting for their next furrever home if you know anyone looking to adopt).

Meet Paul. He is the brave one of the batch so far, the first to venture away from the others alone but also the first to come running back to snuggle up to me after his daring adventure.

Meet the new fosters-Stevie, Paul, Harmony and Alligator. They are 5 weeks old and arrived at the Humane Society malnourished and flea ridden. I’ve had them for a little over a week now. They needed every four hour syringe feedings in the beginning but look at them now!

An aside-the HS is looking for new foster homes. If anyone is interested and has questions you can ask me or call the foster coordinator at the Humane Society. Her name is Arika Arndt. The comment I hear most from people is “I could never do that. I’d keep them all.” Yes, my heart hurts a little each time one goes, but then I reframe it-I am not meant to be their furrever, just one stop on their journey. And seeing some of the past fosters now as clients of Purrfurred makes me realize just how true that is for my situation.

Another foster success story. Georgie, now Garrison was such a shy and scared boy when we got him. Given time he blossomed and his new people understood exactly what Gary needed to feel safe in his new home. Here he is with his brother Edgar loving life❤️and the sunshine ☀️
