It’s taken me a bit to post this but I want to acknowledge the passing of our sweet Flash. His last couple years have been a fight with arthritis. Old pony life can be tough. Flash was one of our first lesson ponies that we purchased for the farm. He was undeniably the cutest. He taught so many young kids at Windhover. He will be remembered by the many young riders that started on him. His riders learned to fly on the games field. He taught his kids to be light handed, confident vaulters, fearless and persistent. I know at least four riders that have gone on to ride at worlds that started on Flash. We will miss his sassy little self.

Due to the limited entries this weekend we will be doing a one day funday October 19th instead of the Payout pairs this weekend. Divisions offered will be Advanced, Norman Patrick and Starter. If you entered this weekend you will have a credit towards your next USMGA event.

Congratulations to the US riders who competed in Northern Ireland this weekend. The US team placed third in the under 18 division. Two of the riders are Windhover riders Lily Somers and Sarah Brace! We are so proud of these two accomplished young riders. 🇺🇸💗

Our first IEA show of the season is a wrap! It was a rainy one. A Big thank you to Powerhouse Equestrian for a well run show even with some crazy weather on Saturday. We are so proud of our riders. They rode really well in rough weather.

Ok I’m going to post this now since there are a lot of shows left and we may not finish here. 🤣 I’m trying to enjoy this small accomplishment and remind myself that it’s more about giving the babies good mileage for future big things. I’m so glad that we tried something new this year with our littles. Fingers crossed Windhover Fox Goes Free holds her lead in the yearlings.

All riders are required to attend setup! Norman Patrick should ride over together at 9:45. Starters should ride over together at 10:45. If you are doing two sessions you must ride the ponies back in between sessions or reserve a stall. Please look over team assignments and let me know if there is anyone you want to ride with.
