Can you even believe how big these baby raptors are now?! We are in the “nibble everything especially soft hand tissue” phase. Luckily they are easily distracted.
Calm raptors means chaos later! These babies are going to make the most amazing little companions. A couple have already picked up so melodic whistling! 😙
The tiny raptors are getting so big! 🦖 🦜 Next big step is gender tests and getting them ready for their forever homes 💚 #attractbalanceaviary #birdmom #conure #greencheekconures #pineappleconure
They stopped eating holes in my shirt long enough to pose 😂
The sunny raptors enclosure is coming along. We are constantly moving, adding and subtracting things to see what they like best 💛
AB Aviary update and boy has it been awhile 🙄 someday I’ll figure out how to incorporate my phone into being with my sweet raptors. We have 3 couples in the brooders; 1 with the babies and 2 with eggs. The other couples are taking their time which it absolutely ok by me 🦜😍
😂 we can fly and climb but going from high to low is a little rough. These babies were brought to us because they have some feather issues and aren’t very friendly. A new and improved diet should help the feather problems and some fun one on one like this will hopefully remedy the friendliness. These are young GCC’s so I am confident that they will be ready for a forever home in no time. 🪶
Pico and Arlo have some eggciting news! These new raptor parents have been doting on 4 precious babies 💛💛 They are all doing very well and growing so fast! First hatch was just 2 weeks ago. (Keep in mind during this time we try to give mom and dad their space and we definitely do not reach into their nest.) Arlo had decided that the cage needed the bedding more than the nest and I was able to sneak some more in so Pico could bed it under the babies. Stay tuned for more updates 🦜
This sweet girl came to us almost a month ago and has made so much progress. Believe to be around 10 years old, she was kept in an unheard space and her enclosure was covered in cardboard due to a mischievous cat. She had pin feathers covering her entire body and conjunctivitis in both eyes. She loves scritches and is slowly filling in from feather loss. Still unsure of her new diet since she was on all seed but starting to warm up to it. She will hopefully be able to to join the cockatiel crew after her treatments and clean bill of health and ultimately find her forever home 💜
Some new residents of the AB Aviary. These sweet babies arrived late last night and appear healthy in spite of the conditions of their cage. We will be moving them into a clean home with a little more wing space. A quick check up and monitoring health for at least the next 30 days before they will be introduced to the cockatiel crew. 🦜
Exciting news in the AB Aviary! We have added Indian Ringnecks to our raptor crew 🩵 it’s crazy how different each species of parrot is
Our sweet little raptors have really feathered out in the past 2 weeks! These sweet beaks are starting to choose solid food over their formula and will be ready soon!
Some practice shots in front of the backdrop. These sweet babes are up for discussion 🩵
We have babies ♥️ These sweet little cockatiel raptors are being hand fed and loved on so that they are ready for their forever homes.
Doin a little dancey dance. My raptors love all kinds of music 🦜
What it’s like trying to clean cages with sun conures. If you make it to the end, Loki steals my loop and won’t give it back 😂
Self scritches are almost as good as human scritches ♥️
I had some little “helpers” in the office today. Please forgive the silence the past few months, running businesses, homeschooling, holidays and spending time with all the little raptors has had my hands way too busy for a phone. We got some very sweet little additions at the beginning of November so stay tuned for an update!
Baby Update!
This is baby 4, our feathers are starting to come in so we will soon know what to expect. For now we are getting gentle cuddles and 4 feedings a day. We love to watch the others be crazy but prefer a little corner in our heated home and naps.
