Low cost CPOF Dog/Cat spay or neuters available! $30 cats, $40 dogs. These must be animals that have an owner. If you are low income you will qualify. If you have circumstances that are making a normal cost surgery difficult but don’t qualify as low income then we may be able to schedule you also at this lower cost. Only healthy animals, no in heat or pregnant, and no dog spays over 1 year. We have a few dates available in June, more in July. Please call 383-2824 if income qualified and we will get you scheduled. If needing special circumstances help them PM us, leave your number, what kind of pet/surgery needed and what your circumstances are and we will get back to you. 😊

Canine health notice…

Recently there has been an increase in complex respiratory cases, with more dogs developing pneumonia or serious complications than is expected from typical causes of 'Kennel Cough'. We have not seen any cases and do not have any reason to believe that there is currently an outbreak in our area. However, this can change at anytime.

We will provide additional information as it comes available from reputable sources.

What should pet owners be aware of?

• BEST is to keep your dog at home!!!! Home quarantine is the best way to eliminate exposure.

• Isolate your pet if they develop a cough without known medical explanation. Coughing dogs should not be boarded in a kennel or exercised with other dogs as they could be exposed to other pathogens which could progress their disease and they pose a risk to other pets.

• Contact your veterinarian if your pet develops a cough, and monitor for progressive signs such as loss of appetite, lethargy, depression, weakness or nasal discharge. A Pet ER visit might be necessary if after-hours or if your veterinary office does not have availability.

• If you are in an area where Bordetella or canine influenza is seen and you are going to take your pet places, then be sure your pets vaccines are current. Eliminating or reducing certain known infectious respiratory pathogens such as Distemper, Bordetella and Canine Influenza may provide protection against complicated disease.

• Restrict your pet from sharing toys and public drinking bowls and from interacting with dogs that are coughing or appear unwell. So once again keeping them home and keeping them isolated is best.

Low cost incentive spay neuter special!!!! This Tuesday only, August 29th. We only have 3 slots open for medium to small dogs spay, or any size dog neuter or any cats male or female. Copay for surgery is $30 for cats, $40 for dogs. Any additional costs will be normal price. Pm if interested. You will be required to put down a $20 deposit on Monday ( in person at the vet clinic or over the phone ) to receive the spots to bring their pet in for surgery Tuesday.

Position filled

In search of a part time kennel staff worker. Needs to be dependable, hard working, quick learner that is able to work on their own. Also have to work well with all animals and be able physically handle large dogs. Shifts are split am and pm 1 day a week and every other weekend. Great job for college age student or older person only wanting a few hours a week. Pay will start at minimum through training and raise to $14 an hour once off probation.
