Puppies learning to play - size doesn’t matter! @outnaboutdogtraining
Happy National Puppy Day! 🐶 Watch these cuties learn to play - size doesn’t matter! If young puppies play with dogs of all different sizes, and are carefully monitored, they soon learn to temper their play style to match that of the other dogs in the group. What's amazing is that they learn to do this based on the other dogs' overall demeanor, not their size. As these dogs mature, they will master the skill of playing to the size of the smallest dog (knowing how to play gently), and can actually all play as one big group! We can also avoid "little dog complex" where the smallest has to be the loudest to scare off the rough players.
New car seat cover!
New car seat cover!
Some times you just need to switch it up. I've gone through quite a few back seat covers to protect my car from dogs, their dirt, and their fur. This is my first Extended Seat Cover and the pups love it!! No longer are they struggling to see who gets to lounge and who has to be curled up. Three is a piece of cake! No worries about sudden stops where they may fall off the seat and onto the floor. Comes with buckles for a secure ride as well.

Victoria Stilwell and Julie Schmitt
Recently I stepped way out of my comfort zone and had the amazing opportunity to engage in a poignant conversation with world-renowned dog trainer, Victoria Stilwell on her Positively Podcast. We conversed about remaining true to yourself, and the importance of “finding your people,” knowing yourself, and listening to your own moral compass. These are helpful guidelines not only when working with dogs, but in all aspects of life. Give it a listen and I hope you find a morsel that resonates well with you.

My Dog is Friendly! How to ensure consent of a dog-to-dog introduction.
