ITS FRIDAY !! The big day...
As many of you know Paws with Espi started as a school project. Little did I know that the project would turn into a business. It's started with walking and Doggy sitting to full blown boarding, stayOver and even field trips. I want to thank all the fur parents for the loyalty, support, word of mouth recommendation, trust and love each and every one of you have given me. This business wouldn't have the success it does if it wasn't for you. So it's a bitter sweet news I bring to you. After a long journey the past few months I decided that I want to build a business into a corporation but without losing the family values and love. I had been taking online courses while exploring new family members in my life. And as a result come fall 2024 I will be a full time college student. I will spend the time I have now until then to finish up some courses and to tie up some ends with the daycare. Here's the sad news. Since I will be a full-time student doggy daycare requires me to be a full-time CEO as well. As much as I would love to do both I will not be able to give it my all to both. So with a broken heart Paws 🐾 with Espi will be closing its doors by April 5, 2024. This will be a long hiatus I plan to return at some point to reopen as a much larger and better doggy daycare. Thank you to all of you but a special THANK YOU to my mom. She taught me everything I know and was there to help make my ideas into reality. She definitely gave me the push when I found myself tired or wanted to give up. She is my right hand in all business matters and a great woman I look up to. Thank you mom, I love you.

What's going to happen next ? You may be asking yourself. After several meetings, sleepless nights and much thought we have found a special person that I feel will do great to take on your fur babies as well as I, after all he did have a hand in training me to be a volunteer at the shelter. Mitch Beasley, I will put his information at the bottom. He has agreed to take on fur babies and offer the same care, love and services as I do. I have started doing meet and greet with some fur families as we transition into the next stage. If you have a boarding or stayover already scheduled DO NOT stress if I haven't talked to you already I will be doing so shortly but be assured I will fulfill that commitment. Someone had an idea of, "let's take the fur babies to the park to burn some energy off and be calm for the groomer". However one forgot that these fur babies were fish in a previous life and found the mud pound and water hole.

R.I.P. praying for the family, friends and my La Porte community. Let's stay strong and come together for Ditrich family.

The City of La Porte, Texas, is extremely saddened to share the passing of our police chief, Doug Ditrich, following a fatal accident in Milam, Texas (Sabine County) on Sunday, January 21.

Chief Ditrich’s family was notified, and the City respects their need for privacy at this time.

The incident was unrelated to any investigation or law enforcement duties and no foul play was involved. The City is providing counseling assistance for the Police Department and City staff.

As available, memorial service information will be shared.

LPPD Assistant Chiefs Bennie Boles and Scott Pullig will oversee Department operations until further notice.

Any other information will be shared by the La Porte Police Department as it becomes available via media platforms. We ask that you refrain from contacting the police department for details regarding services. This information will be released at a later time.

Please keep the entire Ditrich family and the La Porte Police Department in your prayers.

We will be close the rest of the week. Unfortunately there's every little water pressure which may or may not be something more serious. We did everything possible to avoid pipes bursting but really will not know more until the lines thawed out. Sorry for this inconvenience. Stay safe and warm out there.

As the weather continues to get worse I think it's best all activities and daycare get close for Tuesday. Driving conditions don't look safe. We will stay tune and see about Wednesday by Tuesday night. Stay safe, warm and eat alots of snacks so you all share with the fur babies.
