Get ready, Texas youth—2025 is bringing something truly wild! The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is thrilled to announce its first-ever Junior Taxidermy Contest, hosted by the Wildlife Committee! 🧑‍🌾

This new event is an amazing chance for young Texans to dive into taxidermy trade, and preserve memories. Participants can showcase their skills with legal whitetail or gameheads, following all necessary permits and licenses. If you're a proud member of a Texas 4-H Club, FFA Chapter, or enrolled in a Texas high school CTE/STEM program, this is your moment!

We have lost 2 million hunters in the last few years! This is unacceptable! We need all hunters to get out to the polls next week and let our values be heard!

Who’s headed to NM or the Mountain/Western states for a mule deer hunt this fall? Remember we love mounting these giant-bodied beauties if you’re lucky enough to tag out!

These states are home to massive muleys and ample hunting opportunity. Put them on your must-hunt list.

Just a reminder with Halloween 🎃 right around the corner! Pumpkins are a great whitetail treat after the holiday has passed.

🎃🦌 Don’t throw away pumpkins after Halloween. Find woods or a field near you, smash them open, cut them up into smaller pieces, and leave for wildlife to eat. Pumpkin is safe for them, and the seeds act as a natural dewormer. 2.5 billion pumpkins are produced each year, and only 20% get reused. The rest end up in landfills. So recycle those pumpkins to wildlife and provide a food source for hungry animals. Win-win. 🎃🎃

So the season starts with a early phone call I got him he said oh great remember I called you yesterday and ask if I get a deer in the morning can I bring it in and my words were sure you can call me as I hung up I said sure you will but low and behold he got him his first deer with a crossbow a first time archery hunter and a retired gentleman at that good job my friend and new customer congratulations
