i've been following Destiny's Chis for a little while now and there produce some clever song parodies. I believe the creator is British.

Woman's car is destroyed by dogs trying to catch and potentially kill a cat. Not NH but it could happen anywhere.

A Jacksonville, Florida, resident woke up to find extensive damage to her car outside her home. Her surveillance camera caught the suspects in the act. Action News Jax reporter Robert Grant has the story.

LATEST NEWS: Happy Tails Dog Park of the Lakes Region, the non-profit who manages this dog park for Laconia, would like to announce that our long-time President Ginny Martin (me) has retired from my position. We are very fortunate to have on the Board of Directors and as the new President of the non-profit, Larissa Lezama Salcedo, of the family who the park was named after! She is excited to be taking a more active roll in the dog park that means so much to her and her family. I will continue to be a member of the Board of Directors during a transition period. Please join me in welcoming Larissa as President!

I wanted to report back to everyone the results of our recent yard sale. Our total profit was $513.25! A huge thanks goes out to anyone who helped with the yard sale, by dropping off items to sell, working the day of the sale, helping to take leftovers to Salvation Army, buyers of yard sale space, anyone who attended, and particularly the following: Haley Hogan, Lisa Cornish, Scott McWilliam, Shellie Raposo and her friend Kate, Laurie LeTourneau Samson, Lori Gardner, Donna Bowie, Vivian Nerrill, and Valerie Kimball, Dave with a truck who helped cart items to Salvation Army. Your support helps keep this dog park going!

Lots of great things left at our yard sale to benefit the dog park. Come on by and check it out! We’re here till 1.

YARD SALE! Save the date and items to sell! A yard sale to benefit the dog park will be held at the dog park on Sat., Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’ll be collecting items for the sale, so clean out your closets and garages and help us raise money for our dog park! Our dog park is funded only through donations, so we need your help! Volunteers are also needed to help with the yard sale. We’re offering table space again this year for vendors, or anyone who wants to sell their own items, for $20. If you’re interested in having table space, provide your name, phone number and email address with your check for $20 payable to Happy Tails Dog Park of the Lakes Region, P.O. Box 6184, Laconia, NH 03247-6184. We appreciate your support!

You may have noticed the porta-potty has been delivered. Once again, we are asking you to consider donating at least one month's cost of this (~$70) if you like to have it there. If we don't receive funding for it, it is likely to be taken away since we struggle to meet our normal operating expenses. Go to http://www.htdpnh.org/donations for all donation options. Thank you for helping if you can!

Laconia Pet Center has our dog park as the recipient of their Round Up For Charity for the month of May. Please consider stopping by to thank them, stock up on supplies, or try out their great dog wash station! Laconia Pet Center is a generous supporter of this dog park, providing one of our waste stations, dog bowls, raffle items, and having us as the recipient of Round Up for Charity usually twice a year. We are so appreciative!! Woof! Woof! (thanks from the dogs!)

Welcome to Spring! The weather is finally turning nice, albeit slowly. Once again, we need to ask for donations to help keep our dog park going. Do you believe our dog park will have been open 4 years on Sept. 1st? And we've survived solely on donations to our charity, Happy Tails Dog Park of the Lakes Region, who manages the dog park for the City of Laconia. All of our options for donating can be found on our website, http://www.htdpnh.org/donations. If you wish, you can donate via PayPal, send us a check, or use our QR code. If you're a regular to the park, please consider showing your support by setting up a recurring donation, which is easy to do via PayPal. Please show your support now! The dogs thank you!

We are asking for donations again - can you help? As you know, our dog park is managed by a non-profit that maintains the park on only donations - no governing body provides any funding to keep the dog park running. So periodically we need to send out a reminder to please donate to the dog park if you can. We know so many of you donate your time to help keep our dog park in shape, and we greatly appreciate that, we couldn't do it without your help! But there are also bills to pay. We greatly appreciate the people who have set up recurring donations to the dog park, it really helps a lot. The Board of Directors is working on some fundraising events so watch for those announcements in the coming months. We plan to hold another yard sale, so hold on to your gently used items for that, details coming soon. Meanwhile, to see the options available for donating to our dog park, please go to https://htdpnh.org/donations. And thank you so much for all your support!

The park is open in the winter at your own risk. Thanks to Belknap Landscape for plowing!
