Thursday - Saturday walk-ins welcome 12-4. All other days are appointment only.

On May 16, 2006 the NHHS opened its new facility to the public. Since that time, adoption rates have increased dramatically, with an adoption rate hovering at 96%. Nationally, only 16% of people go to a shelter for their next pet. New Hampshire Humane Society has the third highest adoption rate in New England, demonstrating the quality of care and the passion our team has for this mission.

Meet Prudence, a lady who is ready to greet the brand new day- the sun is up, the sky is blue!

Prudence is a newer resident at the shelter, traveling from far away lands to greet us with her presence.

She is light on her feet and fantastic on leash, ready for her fam to show her the ways of New England life.

She is young, maybe 3 or so, with the sweetest eyes we ever did see.

Boots spent a little time in our My Best Friend Clinic today with our Veterinary staff learning about different procedures we offer here at the humane society. After returning from lunch, Boots was found prepped and ready for his own surgical procedure!*
