Hey guys,
If you are considering a kitten from us, you should note the following:
1). The cattery looks to itself first. That means, we take priority in selecting which kittens we keep for breeding/show or even to send to other breeders, or as replacement kittens, etc.
2). If you haven't talked to your significant other about adding one of our cats to your family, please don't contact us. That step needs to happen first!
3). We don't breed for extremes. 30lb, fit Maine C**ns are extremely rare and unlikely amongst ethical Maine C**n breeders. If you want a giant with bad joints and a short lifespan, look elsewhere. There are plenty of backyard types willing to assist.
4). We don't breed for extremes. If you want an Oriental with "Dumbo" or airplane ears, you won't be getting that from us. Fad breeding is very lucrative, and we won't do it. We breed to the standard with an eye toward balanced and correct cats. We are working toward lengthening the lifespan of our Orientals, not shortening it.
5). Kittens are either pet quality or show PROSPECTS. We cannot guarantee how any kitten will develop physically, mentally or emotionally. The best we can offer is that the kitten appears to be correct at the time he or she goes home.
6). You'll wait for your preferred color and s*x. The more selective you are, the longer you will have to wait. We aren't a factory. If you have a specific request for s*x and color, I can almost guarantee we won't have it (yet). We have people on our lists who have been patiently waiting for years for something very specific. We admire their patience and would love to provide kittens more quickly, but that's just not how it works. Mother cats don't do custom orders. Believe us, we've tried. :)
