🎄 Dane’s Giving Tree 2024 was a success!🎄
All donations have been dropped off to the Friends of St Martin Shelter in the name of Dr Nat’s brother, Dane, and of course your beloved fur babies! Thank you to those of you who supported a wonderful cause. We can’t wait to see what this year’s Giving Tree brings 🎁 🐾

I mentioned we had some exciting news to share! Starting with the best news of all!

Most of you already know and love our Dr. Katie, and I am excited to announce she is joining our team FULL TIME!

A little about Dr. Katie:
🐾 A Destrehan native, Dr. K received her undergraduate degree at LSU before attending LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2013.
💉 Certified acupuncturist; cross species trained in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
☯️ Currently working towards more certifications in Chinese Medicine.
🔥 Owner of Southern Veterinary Acupuncture and Katie’s Kookies!
❤️ When she is not continuing her education or practicing veterinary medicine, she’s probably decorating the clinic🤣, spending quality time with her husband, 2 boys, 5 dogs and 2 cats, or baking!!!

We are over the moon excited and so lucky to have such a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian to be here for your fur babies!

We will be opening tomorrow at 10AM! We absolutely hated being unavailable to help during the blizzard, and we appreciate your patience with us.

We hope you, your fur babies, and human family members all thoroughly enjoyed the once in a lifetime weather event❄️⛄️❄️

We will have staff on site tomorrow for our boarding pups. We plan to stay the full day so if you feel safe to travel, you are welcome to come for boarding / daycare! We have reached out to everyone regarding grooming appointments, if anyone has any questions reach out via phone or app messenger.

🎄Dane's Giving Tree is finally up and ready to be decorated! We are doing things a bit differently this year and would like to ask that you please bring a bag of dog food, cat food, or other necessary supplies (cat litter, etc) to be placed under our tree. Your donations will benefit all of the pets in need who are currently under the care of our local animal shelters.
As always, this is done in loving memory of Dr. Natalie's brother, Dane, who made sure to donate to those in need every year for Christmas. Please join us in supporting our local shelters ❤️ and don’t forget to bring a wallet sized picture of your pet along with your donation!
