With the 4th of July quickly approaching, here are some tips to keep your fur-baby comfortable! ❤️🤍💙

1. MAKE A PLAN BASED ON THEIR NEEDS. If your pet has a history of anxiety, see your vet early about possibly prescribing medication to help the animal relax.

2. MAKE SURE PETS CAN BE EASILY IDENTIFIED. Have a current picture of your pet. Make sure the collar is on, with updated tags and contact information. If your pet is micro-chipped, make sure the information registered with the chip is up to date.

3. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO FIREWORK DISPLAYS.

4. CREATE A CALM & QUIET ENVIRONMENT AT HOME. Closing and covering windows, relocating pet crates, beds, or kennels to quieter places in the house, and putting on sounds other than fireworks, such as the TV, radio, or white noise. Bring outdoor pets inside for the evening, and make sure they have plenty of room.
