UPDATE: Ophelia is heading home! Stephanie and her family fell in love with this sweet girl and decided to make her a forever part of their family.❤🏡 Wishing them many wonderful years together!

We're feeling extra grateful today with 70 adoption sponsors this year! 🤩

Each sponsorship helps break down barriers to adoption and gives more animals the chance to find loving homes.

Our most recent sponsorship is by Stephanie for sweet Ophelia! Ophelia is a 2.5 month old mix breed, possibly husky. She's a total sweetheart and loves to play with intermittent zoomies. Ophelia currently weighs 17 lbs and will grow quite a bit more. She loves attention, does well with other dogs, and could fit into a variety of homes. Her brother, Owen, found his home last week, so we're hoping this girl heads home soon too! Thank you Stephanie McKinley-Real Estate for helping her along her journey! 🐾

Our Pet Food Pantry is here to lend a paw! We have pet food available for those in need, just stop by on the 1st or 3rd Wednesday of each month. Please note that visits are limited to once per month.

His adopters sent us the sweetest update and it's safe to say that this sweet boy is already living his best life.🐾 We absolutely love to see our residents thriving in their forever homes!

🎉Thank You - Our New Washing Machines Are Up And Running!🎉

We are so excited to share that our brand-new washing machines are officially installed and running! 🙌 Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we were able to replace our old, broken machines. It has already made a world of a difference!

Laundry might not sound glamorous, but it's one of the most essential parts of caring for our animals. From clean bedding to cozy blankets, every single load helps keep our animals healthy, happy, and comfortable while they wait for their forever home. 🐾

We can't thank you enough for donating, sharing, and cheering us on to make this happen! This was a long journey with a few bumps in the road. We are blessed to be on the other side and able to have two large functioning washers! We receive no government funding so your support is truly what keeps our shelter running!

AHHS is in need of blankets of all sizes, new and old! Every single one helps our dogs, cats, and pocket pets stay comfortable and warm while they wait for their forever homes.🧸

If you have spare throw blankets, comforters, or bed sheets lying around, please consider donating to our furry friends! We welcome drop-offs during all open hours, and also have a donation bin just outside the front door! 🐕💕

Chimmi the Chinchilla - Adoptable! 🎉🐾

Meet Chimmi! Chimmi is an adorable, 1 year old little fluffball with a big personality wrapped in a tiny package.

Chimmi is now available for adoption and looking for a home that understands the unique needs of chinchillas. These small mammals are considered exotic pets, and require specialized care such as specific dietary options, dust baths, and plenty of species appropriate space to explore! ✨

Chimmi would love an adopter who has experience or one who is ready to learn about their care. He has been exploring and has made plenty of new humans friends at Almost Home. He's sure to bring joy and entertainment to the right home! 🌙 They're most active at night, so keep that in mind!
