We are beyond grateful for the incredible support from our community! Your generous donations have helped us fill our pantries and animal's bellies! 🐾💕

We were able to care for shelter animals and facilitate another successful food pantry program today. Our food pantry program ensures community pets can stay safe and fed in their homes, keeping them out of the shelter cycle! 🏠🐾

We are so grateful to know we have a community that rallies behind us when help is needed! Thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many animals! ❤🐾

It's truly an eye opening moment. Our pantries were bare and our team was struggling. We asked for help and you all came through. It's with tears we can't thank you enough!

Big or small, we've got pups for everyone! 🤩

🐾 ADOPTED - Cheddar is a 4 month old mix breed pup. He weighs 14lbs, and is a playful boy that enjoys toys and attention! Recently arriving from another shelter that needed some space, Cheddar has settled in nicely and is ready to head to his forever home! He would likely enjoy some furry or human siblings as well!

🐾 ADOPTED - Stormy is a 3 year old Great Dane. He weighs 96lbs and is a confident and outgoing boy! Stormy arrived from a neighboring animal control department that needed help with some placement. He has done well in passing with dogs, and might enjoy another large pup to burn off some energy. Stormy has been excited to meet everyone he's come across, but could use a lesson in leash manners. His ideal home would be committed to teaching leash and home manners, and would have experience with giant breeds or great danes.

You can meet these two, or any of our other adoptable pets anytime we are open! Same day adoptions available!

We could use your help to fill our pantry! Our shelves are a little bare!! We will take any brand of dog/puppy food cat/kitty food! .
You may drop donations off at the front door or bring them in during business hours! *We will take open or partially used bags as long as they are in their original packaging!*
Did you know that we have a pet food pantry? It Is available the first and third Wednesdays of the month. You have to complete an application and show proof of Tippecanoe County residency in order to receive the assistance.

Fosters WANTED! 🐾

It's that time of year again! Kittens and puppies have started popping up, in need of places to go. We are looking for fosters that are interested in giving a shelter puppy or kitten a new lease on life! Foster parents provide so much to a shelter facility! They allow animals time to decompress, provide more age appropriate stimuli and social interactions, protect our more vulnerable animals, and shower them with love! ❤ AHHS provides all supplies to foster, we just ask you provide them home and the love!

Meet Marlowe!

This spunky and excitable gal has been in our care since 2023. She's been patiently waiting for 500 days and is wishing for her forever home soon! She is a super sweet girl who absolutely loves spending time outside and sunbathing in the warmer weather. She's grown confident in her time with us and is a big cuddle bug with our staff! She was a bit shy when she first came to us and can still be a little unsure around strangers so we recommend that she go home with older children. She is choosey with her dog friends and definitely enjoys the more calm and chill friends. We do require meet and greets with all other doggy friends in the home too! After 500 patient days, this sweetheart deserves a family to call her own!

😍 We are so excited to start our partnership with Pet Supplies Plus! Their team reached out wanting to help us find homes for our cats in need. We're so happy that some our of kitties will be hanging out and making new friends! They will be adoptable at the store so go on and meet them! We are so grateful to foster this new partnership with someone as passionate as us at providing love and care and homes for animals in need!

❤Bonded Pair❤ looking for a forever home!

Meet these handsome bonded brothers, Kai and Tycho! Recently surrendered due to no fault of their own, these two have spent their lives together. Staff have attempted to separate them in an effort to foster their independence. Unfortunately, these two have proven they rely on one another and need to find a home together. Their ideal home would help work on their confidence and independence so they can lessen their need for one another. Their previous owners noted them as being great in the house, have lived with cats, enjoyed other dogs, and were overall amazing home companions.

These 1.5 year old husky mixes may be siblings, but have completely different personalities!

Kai is a big goofball! He is generally pretty laid back, but does love toys and can get a little rowdy. He is much more confident and outgoing in the shelter environment than Tycho.

Tycho can be reserved at first, but once he warms up he's just as much of a goofball as his bestie. He loves to chew on toys and gets the zoomies! Tycho relies on Kai for confidence in the shelter, but we're hoping he'll blossom again once he's settled in a home environment!

Our 10 lab/collie mix puppies are eager to be your valentine!❤ At two months old, these puppies are ready to head home today!

As lab/collie mixes, they are full of personality. This litter has quite the variety of personalities and could fit into a variety of homes! We are not requiring fenced yards or home ownership, given adopters are ready to provide plenty of other exercise options.
