Happy Almost-Friday from some very happy faces! 🐶☀️🎾🐕‍🦺 These six adorable pups are smiling big (tongues out and everything) because they know the weekend is right around the corner — and maybe, just maybe… so is their forever family!

Whether you’re into snuggles, playtime, sniffing adventures, or goofy zoomies, we’ve got the perfect pup waiting to meet you here at Father John’s Animal House!

🐾 Daisy – This sweet senior still has some pep in her step and is working hard on her weight loss journey! She’s about 8 years old and came to us after being surrendered with her sister. Gentle, curious, and always ready for a sniff walk.

🐾 Ling – A classic Shar-Pei queen — independent, sweet, and chill. Ling is 6 years old and gets along with both people and other dogs. She’s just under 40 pounds of low-key love.

🐾 Sage – Playful and full of life, this one-year-old LOVES her toys and her dog friends! Sage is still gaining weight, but her spirit is already full of joy.

🐾 Ace – Fetch enthusiast and cuddle buddy rolled into one! Ace has energy to burn but knows how to settle down for some good snuggles after playtime. He’s always ready to love and be loved.

🐾 Wesley – This 3-year-old sweetheart is great with dogs, kids, and everyone he meets. Wesley’s looking for a second chance after returning due to no fault of his own — he’s ready to be your family’s MVP.

🐾 Worley – A goofy, happy hound who just wants to make you laugh and run around all day! At under a year old, Worley’s still growing — but her heart is already huge.

Meet Baby! This sweet boy first came to us in 2020 when his owner was evicted and couldn’t keep him. He was quickly adopted, but recently returned after his new owner faced health challenges. Through it all, Baby has stayed loving and gentle - he adores pets (even belly rubs!), brushing, and a calm, cozy life. He’s lived with other cats and a dog before, and would thrive in a quiet home full of love. Plus…he’s just the cutest guy ever!!! ❤️🐾🤗

Adoptions of the week!! 🥳

What a heartwarming week for our pups! Mei, our sweet Shar Pei girl with the most lovable wrinkly face, found her forever home. Maple couldn’t wait to hop into the car with her new family—tail wagging and all! Shadow, our gentle senior boy, finally found a place to call home, and we’re so relieved he won’t be spending his golden years in the shelter. And Yakko, our shy little Chihuahua who blossomed during his time with us, is off to a home where he’ll get all the love and constant attention he deserves. 🐶

Our kittens and younger cats had an amazing week too! Thunder, Rain, Marilyn, Monroe, Barnacle Boy, Justin, Koki, Morgan, and Dahlia all found loving homes of their own! Each of these sweet cats now gets to grow up in a home instead of the shelter, and we just know they’re going to bring so much fun and joy to their new families. 😻

Meet Moiraine! This girl is 3.5 years old, full of charm, and absolutely ready for sweater season. 😍

She originally came all the way from Texas and is now ready to show the world just how cute, stylish, and adoptable she is! ❤️

Watching Coco care for these kittens has been nothing short of incredible! She stepped up when our vulnerable babies needed her most - and now, thanks to her love, they’re on their way to a healthy, happy life. 🐾❤️🥹🫶🏻

We had so many great recent adoptions at Father John’s Anima House!

Cats: It’s been an incredible week for our feline residents! We're so happy to share that several of our adult cats have found their forever homes — including long-stay sweethearts like Kasey, and the shy but lovable duo Cipher and Rune. Orchid, Nova, Sammy, Thistle, Carnation, Trudie, Fiona, and Azalea also made their way into loving arms, and we couldn’t be happier. The kittens had their moment too: Batman, Liam, Declan, and Drizzle all went home, and Moo and Patrick were adopted by staff (which means we’ll get to see them grow up!). From shelter life to sunny windowsills and cozy couches, we’re so proud of these happy tails.

Dogs: Not to be outdone, our pups had a phenomenal week too! Our beloved senior Cash found a home — a deeply meaningful adoption, as he belonged to one of our volunteers who recently passed. Long-time resident Daphne finally got her happy ending, and we saw joyful send-offs for Sunflower, Pepe, Rose, Trudy, Sadie, Theo, Beau, Rambo, and Kado.

Every adoption makes space for us to save more lives, so let’s keep this momentum going. Our hearts are full, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made these happy endings possible. 🏡❤️🐾🫶🏻
