👋 Say hello to our Monday night Puppy Class! Filet, Nico, and Harper were such angels during their first class this week! We discussed dog behavior, potty training, enrichment, and socialization. We also began working on their basic obedience cues. We're so excited to follow their progress!

📅Our next Puppy Class starts THIS Monday at 10 am! We still have a few spots available in class.

🐶 This is a 4 week course for puppies ages 10 weeks to 5 months of age. Class meets the same day and time each week for 5 weeks. Your puppy will learn eye contact, sit, down, come, stay, leave it, loose leash walking, go to bed. We will also discuss how to address jumping, chewing, barking, digging, and potty training.
📌 The cost is $155/puppy. SPACE IS LIMITED!!!

Cody, the 7 year old Coton Du Tulear, is currently enrolled in private training lessons with Vikki. He's in training to combat his frustration based leash reactivity towards other dogs and to learn how to retrieve objects for one of his disabled owners. He is doing fantastic learning how to retrieve objects with free shaping and is responding beautifully to his reactivity protocol.

Cockerspaniels Sharon and Ozzy are currently enrolled in private training lessons with Vikki for behavior modification. Sharon is in training to learn her basic obedience cues and manners. Ozzy is in training to combat his fearful behavior and learn confidence. They are both doing fantastic and have made tremendous improvement with their behavior. We absolutely adore working with this fun duo! #

🤩Our Intro to Agility workshop is a great way to have fun with your pet! . This 1 hour workshop will introduce your dog to agility obstacles such as - the A-frame, weaves, tunnel, jumps, dog walk and more! The cost is $45/dog.
✅ Classes take place at our training center located at 131 James Comeaux Rd, Lafayette La 70508.
✅ Proof of current vaccinations given by a veterinarian, a negative f***l, and flea prevention are needed to attend class. Puppies need 2 rounds of vaccines given by a veterinarian.
✅ All classes are taught with positive reinforcement based methods, we do not use any choke, prong, or shock collars.

Rocco, the Bully puppy, is having so much fun during his board and train stay with Vikki. He is extremely energetic and loves all things involving play. He loves to work for treats, toys, and the flirt pole. He loves practicing stay and playing fetch with the Puller Ring. He is working hard learning how to focus. Great job, Rocco!

😍Bella, the 8 week old Goldendoodle puppy, learned so much during her first session she had crashed at the end of it! We discussed potty training, socialization, and how to prevent unwanted behaviors. She learned how to sit, touch, and respond to her name.

❓️Did you know we can start in-home private training lessons as young as 8 weeks old after 1 vaccine, negative f***l, and vet check? We start our Puppy classes as young as 10 weeks old and after puppies receive 2 vaccines and a negative f***l. We follow the recommendations of the American Society of Veterinary Behavior for puppy socialization. Early training is best and can help prevent unwanted behaviors, fears, phobias, and even aggression.

Darcy and Ivy are currently enrolled in private training lessons with Vikki for behavior modification. They're in training to address resource guarding of food, digging, and jumping on guests. We have implemented management, increased mental enrichment, and obedience cues. They're very sweet and pick up on training very quickly.

Sparky, the 8 month old Bully Breed Mix, is in private training lessons with Vikki. He was recently adopted from the animal shelter and is in training to decrease his destructive behaviors. He is a very energetic puppy and began to dig and chew on inappropriate items due to boredom. We have implemented interactive toys, increased excercise, and obedience training. He loves fetch and working for treats. He is doing great learning his obedience cues. Great job, Sparky!

😍Meet Rocco the adorable 4.5 month old Bully Breed Mix! He's here to stay with Vikki for our board and train program. He is quite the energetic puppy and has tons of personality. He's here to learn his obedience cues, stop jumping on guests, and to stop biting on the leash. He loves treats and toys. We're very exited to work with him!

🐩GiGi, the Toy Poodle, is currently in private training lessons with Vikki for behavior modification. She has previously completed training with us, but began showing signs of anxiety and and increase in reactive behavior after her family moved to a very busy neighborhood. The move really stressed her out. We were able to help smooth the transition to her new environment and she is now thriving!

👩‍🏫This is a great example that dog behavior and training cannot be guaranteed. Though Gigi has advanced obedience cues, the anxiety she experienced from the move decreased her reliability of performing those behaviors. Many things influence behavior and training throughout our dog's lives such as environmental changes, genetics, age, health, and life experiences.

😀Great job, Gigi! She is now back to her old self and enjoying getting to know her new neighbors.
