🐶 This is a 4 week course for dogs and puppies 6 months and older. Class meets the same day and time each week for 4 weeks. Your puppy will learn eye contact, sit, down, come, stay, leave it, loose leash walking, go to bed. We will also discuss how to address jumping, chewing, barking, and digging.
📌 The cost is $175/dog. SPACE IS LIMITED!!!

Winnie, the 4 month old Golden Retriever puppy, recently was the sole puppy to attend our Jumpers Anonymous workshop. We discussed how to curb his attention seeking behavior, management, enrichment, and how to reinforce appropriate greetings. He will also be starting in-home private training lessons for obedience training. He's very smart and we look forward to working with him! # ❤️

Cash, the Goldendoodle puppy, rocked his field trip to Stine! He did fantastic working on his socialization and practicing his obedience cues in a new environment. He also loved getting attention from everyone. Great job, Cash!

Pius had so much fun on his field trip to Stine! He has done fantastic with his potty training and also loves showing off his obedience cues. We are so proud of his progress!

Mochi, Liberty, and Indy recently attended our K9 Conditioning Workshop. They had so much fun working on their fitness! Mochi and Indy built confidence with their moves, while Liberty unlocked advanced new skills. They went home mentally and physically tired. These workshops occur once a month, join us for our next one in January! Great job! 🐾

Clinical trial participants needed at LSU Vet Med!
Do you have a 6–8 week old, unvaccinated puppy? LSU Vet Med is enrolling participants in a clinical research study exploring whether osteopathic manipulation combined with the DA2P vaccine (a routine puppy vaccine that protects against distemper, adenovirus, and parvovirus) can help support puppies’ immune response.
Study details:
• Puppies must be 6–8 weeks old and not receiving other medical treatments
• Bloodwork will be performed at the first visit
• Five visits over approximately 91 days
This study is led by Anais Musso, AO, Clinical Instructor of Animal Osteopathy, and Nancy Welborn, DVM, Associate Professor of Community Practice, at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.

Pius had so much fun on his field trip to the Sit Happens Training Center! He was able to confidently perform his obedience cues in a new environment. He is also on week 2 of no longer having potty accidents in his crate. Great job, Pius!

🤩 Our current Adult Class is in full swing and they are doing amazing! Each week Vader, Stella, Freedia, and Millie are working hard to improve their focus and manners. We are currently working on down, loose leash walking, and stay. We are thrilled with their progress and enjoy working with them!

Artemis and Rambo recently completed their in-home private training lessons with Vikki for behavior modification. Prior to training they were getting in weekly fights and two resulted in emergency visits to their veterinarian. They were struggling arousal that led to aggression. We worked on management, conditioning relaxation, and muzzle conditioning. They are now going on 10 weeks without an aggressve incidence in the home. They have learned how to relax around one another and can easily take breaks to calm down when too excited. Fabulous work!

Vikki Bourgeois is the owner and head trainer of Sit Happens Dog Training. She has over 10 years experience in the pet care industry where she developed a special interest in trick training and behavior modification.
Vikki holds the prestigious title of Certified Behavior Consultant Canine (CBCC-KA), a title only 161 people hold worldwide. She is one of two CBCC-KA’s in the entire state of Louisiana and the only one in Acadiana. She is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor through the “Do More With Your Dog” program, and Fear Free Certified Professional. She is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Puppy S.T.A.R. Evaluator.
In addition to Vikki’s certifications, she is also a member of the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians, professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and Pet Professional Guild.
Angela Hoppe is a professional dog trainer for Sit Happens Dog Training. She has over 7 years experience in the pet care industry where she developed a special interest in trick training and equine training.
Angela is a a Certified Trick Dog Instructor through the “Do More With Your Dog” program, professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and the Pet Professional Guild. Angela is the proud companion to novice and intermediate trick dogs and is pursuing her CPDT certification through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers.
