🐶Are you interested in having your dog become a therapy dog? How about working on your AKC CGC Title? This 2 hour workshop will help teach you the tools to achieve these. This workshop covers all 10 steps of the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. We will work on exercises such as accepting a friendly stranger, supervised separation, walking through a crowd, and MUCH more! The opportunity will be given to take the test at the end of the workshop. The cost is $75/dog.

✅ Classes take place at our training center located at 131 James Comeaux Rd, Lafayette La 70508.
✅ Proof of current vaccinations given by a veterinarian, a negative f***l, and flea prevention are needed to attend class. Puppies need 2 rounds of vaccines given by a veterinarian.
✅ All classes are taught with positive reinforcement based methods, we do not use any choke, prong, or shock collars.

Sit Happens Dog Training is locally owned and operated in Lafayette, Louisiana. We specialize in pet dog training and behavior modification. We provide services for all of Acadiana. Services include: Group Classes, Workshops, In-Home Private Training, In-Facility Private Training, Behavior Modification, and Board & Train.

We use positive reinforcement training methods that are approved by veterinarians and the top leaders in the dog training industry. We tailor our training plans to meet the needs of each individual pet.

Vikki Bourgeois is the owner and head trainer of Sit Happens Dog Training. She has over 10 years experience in the pet care industry where she developed a special interest in trick training and behavior modification.

Vikki holds the prestigious title of Certified Behavior Consultant Canine (CBCC-KA), a title only 161 people hold worldwide. She is one of two CBCC-KA’s in the entire state of Louisiana and the only one in Acadiana. She is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor through the “Do More With Your Dog” program, and Fear Free Certified Professional. She is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Puppy S.T.A.R. Evaluator.
