Hello! My name is Shannon and I’m available to hire as a caretaker for your pets when you’re away!
Doggy daycare and boarding can be very costly and stressful on our pets. I am available to ease the stress while you’re away and care for your pet in their own home.
History/Experience:
I’ve taken care of and loved all kinds of animals most of my life. I worked as a Veterinarian Technician and as an Animal Control Officer for several years before my 22+ career in EMS. I have a toddler son who may or may not assist me depending on your preferences/your pet’s preferences with children. I look forward to meeting you and your extended family!
Schedule :
My schedule is quite open, aside from my son’s daycare drop-offs and pick-ups. I prefer to walk or do drop-in visits during the day (Monday-Friday) from 8:30am-2:00pm as my son is at daycare and it’s easier to manage pets without a curious toddler to focus on. I can do weekends, but prefer to discuss the dates before agreeing to them as my son may be visiting his father and it will be easier to work. I am local to Point Venture and Lago Vista, but open to Jonestown and further areas.
Services :
I work with most domesticated small animals - dogs, cats, birds, fish, rodents, rabbits, reptiles -even snakes!
I will serve your pets as you see fit, but love is always first! Bathing & Grooming can be discussed as per your request.
I love to interact with dogs! They are so curious and fun! We will get lots of exercise playing fetch or whatever games you advise they enjoy most. There will be plenty of stop and smell time, potty breaks, and sunshine soaking! I have a wonderful park here in Point adventure we can enjoy or one of the many in Lago Vista. Both neighborhoods boast hills for building up muscles and working energy out. If your pup enjoys water, I’m definitely game to give them swim time, too!
Before I take your loved one for a walk, or care for your fur family, I’d like to know any important information you feel is necessary. Do they have hip problems? Need certain medications at a certain time? Are they well socialized with other dogs? Are they car/cat/squirrel chasers? Are they tolerant of children (young, older)? Do they have any special needs I can help assist them with?
