In case you're not familiar with the adoption process, here's how it works...

Once you are ready to add a cute little puppy to your family you may contact us via email, text, or by calling us. We will be happy to help you decide which is the best puppy for you. Once you have decided on a specific puppy, a $500 non-refundable deposit will hold that puppy for you until he/she is old enough to be picked up. Once you make the deposit, you will then receive an invoice along with our health guarantee via email to read over, sign and send back. Prior to going to it's new home the puppy will have a thorough examination done by our licensed veterinarian. If at that time a health issue should arise we will refund your deposit or transfer it to a different puppy.

Hellooooo and welcome to Joyful Pups!

Our family- Matt, Mary Jo, and our children are involved in caring for the precious little puppies and their parents. Our photographer does a wonderful job at taking great-quality pictures of the puppies. We know that buying a new puppy is exciting but we also realize that making sure they’re coming from a reputable breeder is important.

At Joyful-Pups our goal is to raise healthy joyful puppies that will bring joy and happiness to your heart and home. We start gently handling our puppies three days after they are born. At three weeks old we introduce them to new environments, different objects, and multiple surfaces. At six weeks old we start crate training.

We breed Miniature Long-Haired Dachshunds, Shih Tzus, and F1B Cavapoos. We do color and disease genetic testing in our Dachshunds thru Paw Print Genetics to ensure careful breeding. All of our adults are OFA certified on heart and knees. Having a great relationship with a vet is very important so we have Dr. Christner from LaGrange Vet Clinic who visits our kennel multiple times throughout the year where she does physical exams on our adults and gives needed vaccinations.

We are active members of ICAW, are state licensed with BOAH, USDA, and are Canine Care certified. We are the number forty-two Canine Care certified breeder in the nation!! We work hard and are continuously trying to improve to provide you with great quality pets. We are excited to meet you and help you find your next furry friend!
