This is Cleo, a.k.a. Tippy!
She's a sweet one year old female hound mix who's had a pretty rough start. We are grateful to our friends at the City of LaGrange Animal Services for starting her on her journey to a new and better life! While in their care, she was able to get a much needed surgery to remove a leg that was injured beyond repair. They sent her to Auburn University to be spayed, and then she came to us to help her find her fur-ever family. When we met Cleo, you could see the fear in her eyes. SO much had happened in such a short period of time, and she didn't know who or what to expect next!
We knew exactly who to call!! One of our amazing fosters has a three-legged pup that has learned all the ins and outs of getting around without that pesky front limb... who better to show Cleo!?! Within just a day or two, her foster mama and fur-brother had her splashing, playing, and learning to love life again!! She's done well with the other dogs we've introduced her to, as long as they don't get too rough and knock her over! She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is ready to find her family!!
People are often worried about adopting a dog with a disability. They worry that they aren't equipped with the skills needed to take care of a dog with a disability. The truth is, Cleo is just like every other dog (minus one leg). She loves to run, play, and get plenty of treats and belly rubs. Having her leg amputated has made her life so much easier and has allowed her to truly thrive. If you think your home just won't be complete without the love of this amazing pup, give us a call today to set up a meet and greet appointment! (706) 415-1265.
Happy Friday! Tango is hoping today will be the lucky day he meets his furever family!!!
Meet Toby!! This little guy is a 7 month old 13 pound (scaredy baby) dachshund mix who is current on vaccinations and has been started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention meds. He still needs to be neutered before being adopted, but if you are interested in meeting Toby, give us a call at (706) 415-1265 to set up an appointment!! We are taking foster-to-adopt applications asap! You don't want to miss out on this sweet little guy!!!
Our sweetest boy, Rio, has lived in a shelter for more than half of his short life. 😢
This crazy boy is 2 years old, current on vaccinations, neutered, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and full of love... and ENERGY!!
NO CATS for this boy!
Definitely no cats for this boy!!!
He has liked the other dogs we've introduced him to, but we always recommend bringing your pup to meet him before adopting.
His ideal family will be an active one!! He would be a perfect hiking/running companion!!
If you would like to meet our big, goofy boy, give us a call at our new number (706) 415-1265
Helping our pups find a home is always the goal, but getting to help them find their way BACK home is always the best day ever! Lots of loves, fetch, and belly rubs await this happy boy back at home!! Happy Tails, George and Family!!!
PAWSOME PUPDATE!!! He has found his way back home!!!
Lil Smokie will be available for adoption soon! (We are still getting his vetting completed.) Give us a call at (706) 415-1265 to schedule an appointment to meet him!
Help Needed!
Meet Babs and Polly Pocket! These sweet babies came to us 2 and a half weeks ago in pitiful shape! 😔 They had fleas crawling all over them, they were fearful of people, and oh so thin!! We've gotten them fattened up a bit, but both girls need medical intervention as soon as possible! Babs (black and white, 5 year old female) has a very large mammary tumor that needs to be removed in addition to her spay and standard vetting. Polly Pocket (cream colored, 2 year old female) has an old injury in her right, front leg that has healed improperly and is causing her a good bit of pain. The Vet's office has recommended amputation for her. Between the two, our surgery bill will be almost $1800. Please help us help these sweet little ladies get ready to find their furever family!!

Thank you!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who purchased something off of our $5 Friday wishlist! We feel truly spoiled! ☺️🐾
Days like today are Laineys' favorite! If there's a puddle, Lainey is going to find it! She LOVES the water! She is almost 2 years old, has been good with the other dogs that we've introduced her to, and has been fully vetted!
Momo, Karma, & Goose all got to meet each other and hang out together! They were fast friends! 🥰
Bluey's got sunshine on a cloudy day because tennis balls and treats exist! She LOVES playing fetch! She seems to know the "sit" command, doesn't potty in her crate or in our office, walks well on leash, and loves being loved on! She needs to be the only pet in the home and will do best with older children!
Roscoe went to the vet yesterday to get his vaccines updated since he has now been with us for over a year! He got a trip to Starbucks LaGrange afterward for a pup cup! He was one happy pup, but he'd be happier if he had a home of his own!
Karma is still waiting for her perfect humans! She is estimated to be 4 years old and has been fully vetted! She has been very timid until she trusts you, but she is a complete sweetheart once she does! She likes to give hugs and kisses and stays right by our side when we're walking! She perks up around other dogs, walks well on leash, takes treats gently, and has seemed mostly potty trained and crate trained!
Good morning from our Executive Director & our sweetest, shy girl, Karma!
We LOVE our sweet Marigold 💛
It's hard to think that we're only at the beginning of the year and we already have SO many animals that need medical help! You guys never fail our pups so we're crossing our fingers and asking for help once again! We have A LOT going on!
🐾Lottie, Caspian, and Fury need heart worm treatment.
🐾Fury is also going to have to have his eye removed.
🐾Garbanzo needs dental work and so does old gal Loonette!
🐾Bean came to us as a little puppy with a broken pelvis and issues with his other legs, requiring multiple vet visits and splints.
🐾Perry has digestive issues, so we've been trying to medicate for those.
🐾Goose hasn't been evaluated fully yet, but he also has something going on with his eye. We're HOPING it won't require surgery, but we'd like to be prepared if it does. 🥴

Tomorrow is the day! The pups are indoors so don't let a potential rainy forecast scare you away from treating them to attention & treats! 2/10/2024 from 10am-12pm at the Humane Society!
Our pups are so excited to meet you at our 14 Dimes 4 Love event this Saturday! We have some great furbabies that are ready for interactions and a little bit of being spoiled! Stop by and give them treats, and if you want to spoil them long term, take them home! ☺️💕
We're out at the mall with our City of LaGrange Animal Shelter friends and some of our adoptable pups! We will be here until 1pm, come see us!
