We are so happy after our adoption event this past Saturday! We want to give a big thank you to everyone who came out! Thank you to CB&T and Sweetland Ampitheater for inviting us and covering the adoption fees for the event, and thank you to Lagrange Animal Control Officer Thigthen for letting us borrow their mobile unit and pulling it for us so we could actually take dogs to the event! We are so happy to report that two of our longest residents got adopted! Rio (originally came to us April 18th, 2023), and Halley (originally came to us April 30th, 2022) both went to their forever homes! We still have lots of sweet puppies available for adoption and are having another Easter themed event at the mall this Friday and Saturday (18th & 19th)! We hope to see you there!

We are so excited to be hosting an adoption event this Saturday at the CB&T Easter Egg Hunt! While everyone is having fun searching for eggs and doing the 5k fun run, we'll be showing our dogs off to potential adopters! If you would like to attend, we'll be at Sweetland Amphitheater from 10am to 1pm! You can meet some familiar faces and some new puppies you haven't met before! We hope to see you there!

EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED!

This week, the shelter is undergoing some renovations, and that means we're going to be unable to access our office. Under normal circumstances, that would be fine! However, we have an anxious little lady who lives in the office and needs extra attention.

Susie is as sweet as can be. She was rescued from a dog fighting ring, so she can't be around other dogs. She's done fine around cats so far but hasn't spent an extended period of time around them. She's done well around children, but in a new environment, a small child being in her space may make her feel unsafe. She receives medicine twice a day with food and takes it like a champ!

The foster process is super simple and completely free! We would just do a quick home inspection and have you fill out some paperwork. She only needs to be in foster for this week, but if you fall in love with her, we'd be happy to let her stay for longer (even forever)! We wanted to spotlight some of our awesome fosters! The past few weeks, we were able to get 10 of our dogs into foster homes! That's right, 10 of our babies don't have to experience the shelter life anymore, and we're so thankful for our incredible foster families for making that a possibility!

We have some sad news to share about our sweet Susie Q.
After many vet visits and restless nights, this sweet girl finally has a diagnosis. Susie Q is heartworm positive.
Heartworms are a truly horrific disease, but not a death sentence! Thanks to the incredible vet staff at both the Lagrange Veterinary Hospital and Four Paws Animal Hospital, our sweet girl is getting the best care imaginable. We hope to give you more updates about Susie, but in the meantime we could really use your help.
Susie would do best in a foster home where she could truly relax and fight off this disease. She has done well around cats, but can't be around other dogs. She would need a foster who would be able to administer her medication twice a day and take her to her vet appointments. We need someone to be a hero for our Susie.
Could you be her hero? The foster process is super simple and completely free! We would do a quick home inspection and leave you with everything she needs.

We have awesome news about our sweet muse, Rio! This beautiful boy's adoption fee has been sponsored! That's right, Rio is currently available for adoption, and his fee is a whole $0. Rio has been with us for nearly 2 whole years, and we think that's a little ridiculous! This gorgeous baby boy would do best in a home where he's the only dog and far, far away from any cats. Rocky is the newest bachelor taking the world by storm!
This handsome puppy is super high energy and loves to run and play. Rocky isn’t just a dumb jock, though. He’s really intelligent and loves training! We understand that a sweet baby with his energy level isn’t for everyone. However, if you have a fenced-in yard or are a high-energy person who loves to run, this big boy is the one for you! Who’s this beautiful girl?

This is Kiko, a shy but sweet girl! Kiko’s a little nervous and still learning how to trust people, but once she warms up to you she’s quite the silly girl. When you scratch her butt, her back feet stomp back and forth! Who wouldn’t find that adorable? She has some resource guardian issues due to her anxiety, but with a little patience and training we’re sure she’ll have that worked out in no time. She does well on the leash and is a great running partner!

Y’all ready to meet the coolest mom in town?
Meet Piglet, the snuggliest angel in the world! Though she loves to explore, Piglet’s favorite thing to do is snuggle and get pets. This single mom of two works very hard to take care of her boys. She’s doing all the work, and will continue to do the work until her babies, Timone and Pumba, are old enough to stop nursing. Once they’re old enough, they’ll be off on their own to their new families! Piglet is looking for a soft and safe place to land while she finishes nursing her babies. Timone and Pumba's mom has got it going on!
