Everyone, we have an important announcement to make!
After seven long months in her foster home, someone finally learned how to use the doggy door! We’ll give you three chances to guess who this incredibly brave girl is.
If you guessed Karma, you’d be right!
Karma is a 5 year old lab mix who’s becoming braver every single day. When she first entered her foster home, Karma would hide at the very back of her crate every single day. It’s hard being a nervous girl! Slowly but surely, Karma has done things we’ve never thought she might do. For example, she barked! That’s right, this girl has found her voice and will use it on very special occasions. She loves to play with her other doggie friends, and they give her the confidence to be careless and free. They give her the confidence to be a dog.

Happy February everyone!
This month we’ll be highlighting our sweet and saucy pups that are available for adoption! To start, let's look at a young and strapping bachelor named Rio!
Rio is a two years old lab mix that loves to play! We call him a model dog because of how gorgeous he is. Now, he does have an intimidating resting face, but we promise there's nothing but rainbows and sunshine behind those eyes. The jury is back with a verdict, and Rio is guilty of stealing our hearts!

Hey, yall!
We just wanted to give you guys a little update and a big thank you! You guys have seriously helped us in the small dog collar department. We would like to shout out specifically Tonya Huff, Donna Hannah, Mary Ann Nichols, and Nicole Maddox for buying us small dog collars! We also want to give you guys an update on our little Miss Susie Q. Susie is still nervous but craves attention so much! It's so nice to see her desire for attention win over her fears and past trauma. You can trust that we're giving her lots and lots of love!
Thank you guys so much for all you do for us and our dogs. We couldn't do this important job without your support!

Hey, yall! We would like to introduce a very special member of our pack.
This is Susie Q. She was rescued from a suspected dog fighter this past week, and we were lucky enough to pull her. When I say lucky, I truly mean it.
Susie is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. Dogs that are fought have unimaginable trauma, and one of the ways they survive is by making themselves as small as possible. They don't bark. They don't jump. They don't get into anything. They just hide. They don't act like dogs.
Over the past few days, Susie has realized that she's safe.
She jumps up for attention. She got into the trash and chewed up the leg of one of our desks. She barked. She even went up to a stranger for pets. She's acting like a dog.
Susie is becoming braver every single moment of every day. We're so thankful that we get to be the people that Susie trusts.
Despite coming so far in the past 72 hours, she has so much farther to go. We need a LOT of help raising money for her vet care. She has sores all over, an infected toe, and a brand on her front leg. Our sweet baby girl knows she'll never be hurt again, and we would love if the community could come together to help us. From karma who was once scared of her own shadow, to Rocky who had a chain embedded in his neck, we thank you for all you do for us.

This is Nani and Nui. They're high-energy, fun, and lovable puppies who need help right now. You see, Nani and Nui just got adopted by a family that absolutely ADORES them. I mean, this was the perfect fit for these two goofballs. The problem? They're BiG babies. Their family's landlord decided that, despite how loved they are, they're simply too big.

As the year comes to a close, we want to give a massive shout out to the people who helped us in 2024!

We had so many wonderful volunteers, like Larry and Debbie Pitts and Amanda Buehler! They were truly incredible and helped us keep our dogs active! We would also like to thank our incredible fosters. Our fosters opening their homes up to our sweet dogs meant that not only did we have open kennels to pull more dogs in need, but their foster pups got to practice being pets! Whether you fostered for one day or one year, you have truly made a difference, and we appreciate you so much. Finally, we would like to thank anyone who donated or bought something off our amazon wishlist. We wish we could run solely on hopes and good vibes, but in this world, we run on donations. Gardner Newman Middle and several students did donation drives for us, and we're so thankful for that! We're also thankful for people like Jenna Bennett and John D. Ray, who bought things off of our amazon wishlist. Someone bought us a new sink faucet that we put on the wishlist, and you have no idea how happy that made us. The community came together for us this year, and we're so thankful for all of you.

Happy Holidays everyone, and we hope 2025 is filled with love from the community just like this year.
