Congratulations to our riders on a successful trip to Gardnertown! Molly & Zander were Champion in their debut, Layla and Mary Clare both earned tricolors in their respective divisions and Sophia won both 3’ Medals! Congratulations to Karen Manning and her horses who won multiple Zone 1 Horse of the Year awards. Zweiback: Champion USHJA 3’ and 3’ Green Hunters. Halaisas: 3rd USHJA 2’6” Hunters. Congratulations to Karen, Toast and Kiwi who are currently spending a successful winter in Ocala. We miss you! (And Cognac too)

Crosswinds riders knocked the icicles off to head to Old Salem Farm this weekend. Lindsay’s Viva La Vida earned 3rd place in the 3’ Low Hunters. Ashley and Hardy moved up to Adult Hunters, placing in every class. Maddy and Brookside Supernova had beautiful trips in the 2’6” Low Adult Hunters. Stella and Chewy made their first off site show together a huge success, with top placing in pre child equitation. Esme and Cosmopolite S earned Champion of the Pre Child Equitation! We’re excited to be out of long winter and back to showing. Thank you to Mary Clare for her grooming, Judge Manning Horse Transportation, Inc. for the safe transport, and Tucci, EquiFit and Voltaire Design for the wonderful equipment.

Crosswinds will have a full course of show jumps set and available for Ship Ins this Sunday, February 23rd. $50 per horse.

Crosswinds will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday 1/21&22 due to the extreme cold temperatures. The horses are tucked in tightly with extra blankets, hay and warm water. We plan to reopen for normal activities on Thursday. We will be in contact about rescheduling lessons later in the week. Stay warm 🥶and allow our staff to take care of your horses and themselves!
