Poor Rueger found himself a late night snack ⚠️ A spicy sky raisin aka a bee 🐝🐝 Did you know that anaphylactic shock can occur in dogs and cats just like in people? Or that bees sometimes sleep outside the hive in grass, flowers and even rocks 🌱🫢 Allergic Reactions vary from patient to patient. Mild symptoms may include but are not limited to localized swelling, itching, hives, pain and tenderness to touch. Severe reactions to bee stings (anaphylaxis) include but are not limited to localized swelling, pain, hives, vomiting, diarrhea, collapse, Gallbladder wall swelling (edema), and even difficult breathing. Severe reactions can be fatal so quick action is vital. Take your pet to the emergency hospital at the first sign of any of the reactions mentioned. 🚑🚑🚑 Cute little Rueger only had a mild reaction and was able to go home after some injectable medications. What a strong handsome puppy ! 💙🦮🎉

The emergency department at Healing Hearts is prepared to help your baby. We have anesthesia machine ventilators, blood product for transfusions, in-house laboratory and digital x-ray. Our knowledgeable and experienced doctors will always provide with all the options. But should your pet ultimately need surgery and you choose to move forward. Let us help you and your baby. behind the scenes 📸✨ Sometimes when going to an Emergency Animal Hospital you may experience wait times after your pet is triaged as stable. The reason for that is pictured here. In this photo there are two doctors in an anesthetic procedure and five veterinary technicians not counting the tech that took this photo. So really 6 experienced veterinary technicians on the treatment floor and more throughout the hospital assisting clients in exams rooms, answering phones or triaging at the front desk. The staff here at Healing Hearts Emergency Animal Hospital love what they do even when it gets dirty and busy.

Daisy is a special little schnauzer that presented for coughing and difficulty breathing. After diagnostic imaging and bloodwork it was confirmed she had developed aspiration pneumonia. Brave little Daisy was hospitalized and immediately put on oxygen therapy with orders for nebulizations, IV medications, IV fluids, and repeat radiographs to track the changes in her lungs. Here is Daisy pictured weaned off of Oxygen and much improved ! 🐾🐶Yay Daisy 🎆❤️ if your pet is ever experiencing difficulty breathing please seek medical attention immediately 🚑‼️🏥 Healing Hearts is prepared to assist you and your baby with Oxygen 😮‍💨🫁 diagnostic imaging, an in-house lab for bloodwork and blood product for transfusions. 🩸💉🩺🐾 if you are concerned then we are concerned. Oh sweet Harley girl, you touched our hearts in so many ways. Harley presented to Healing Hearts for inappetence, lethargy, diarrhea and vomiting. After a number of days hospitalized with around the clock care, IV fluids and medications. She was able to go home and spend Thanksgiving with her family. What a little trooper ! 💖 If your pet is experiencing similar symptoms please don’t hesitate to give us call, come on down, or if you are unable to see your primary care Veterinarian. We are happy to assist in way from treating ear infections all the way to life saving surgeries.
