Dogs are man's best friend, but it is not always the other way
around. The Little Red Dog was founded in memory of a little red
American Pit Bull Terrier who did not make it. If you are familiar
with the Michael Vick dog fighting case chronicled in The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption. The Little Red Dog was brutally beaten to death by Vick and his cronies

because she had the audacity to not to want
to fight. The Little Red Dog fights for all the dogs, red, blue, tan, white, brown, black and all colors in between. We do not discriminate against ANY breed; that's
because we are a real rescue, and we will help as many animals as we can. Our hope that some day all of
them make it out, but most of all, we will never forget the Little Red Dog and
many others who did not.

’Twas the night before Thanksgiving… ✨ Fifi wanted to share how grateful she is this year. After two long years waiting in boarding, she’s finally snuggled up in her foster family’s home. 💛

Fifi is still looking for her own family! She’s cat and dog friendly, house and crate trained, and will thrive with a strong leader—though she listens and takes correction well.

🐾 Bijou, our sweet mama who was dumped while pregnant and went on to have five beautiful pups, was adopted. After everything she’d been through, she now gets the soft landing she always deserved. 4 of Bijou's pups are still waiting for their forever homes, check out Hugo, Geo, Row and Louie! Thank you Lana for fostering this family!

🐾 Jack, abandoned at a truck stop, just landed the best kind of ending: a forever home with longtime adopter and beloved supporter, Freddi. The kind of home where the last chapter is all soft beds, security, and being adored exactly as he should be.

🐾 Epic—who was literally thrown away on the street, emaciated and exhausted—was adopted. Because you helped us get him to care, to safety, to healing… and now to a home where he will never be disposable again. Thank you Tim, Mary, and Teddy for fostering Epic!

🐾 Casper, our blind Aussie, is thriving because you’ve made sure he has everything he needs to navigate the world with confidence and comfort. He’s pure sweetness and determination, and he’s living proof that “different” never means “less." Thanks to Randy for adopting this sweet and special boy!
