We are SO excited to share that Emma’s puppies are officially 9 days old, and they are all thriving! 🐾💕 Mama has a mobile vet coming to check on her tomorrow as we believe she has mastitis in one of her teats.
Emma had 4 handsome boys and 5 beautiful girls, all with names inspired by Jane Austen’s book Emma! 📚💖 Meet the boys: Elton, Franklin, Weston, and Woody. And the girls: Harriet, Jane, Taylor, Tera (in honor of our sweet Pantera who gained her angel wings the same day Emma gave birth), and Angel, who sadly passed away during birth. 😢💕
The pups are growing stronger every day, and Mama Emma is starting to explore a bit more, taking short breaks to stretch her legs and enjoy some well-deserved downtime. 🐾
We’re incredibly grateful to our amazing fosters, Melissa and Jay, who are providing round-the-clock care for Emma and her pups. This is their first time fostering and being part of a birth, and they’ve done an incredible job! 🌟
Taking care of a mama dog and her newborns is no easy task—it requires constant attention, proper nutrition, and medical care to make sure everyone stays healthy and safe. In loving memory of Stella, who touched the hearts of all who knew her. Rescued from Devore Shelter in 2020, Stella found her forever home in 2021, where she was shown just how special she was. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the joy she brought into her family’s life will never fade. Last week, her family said farewell to this beautiful Stella, as she peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to a fast-growing cancer. It’s never easy to say goodbye, but we find comfort knowing she spent her final years in a home filled with love and care.
To her dad, who gave her the chance to live those precious years — thank you for allowing Stella to feel so cherished, for being her rock, and for making sure she knew nothing but love. You both were a gift to each other.
Stella, you may no longer be with us, but you will forever live on in our hearts. We are so grateful you had the chance to know what it’s like to be loved deeply, and we will carry that memory with us always. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, sweet girl. 🌈🐾
🚨 Urgent Rescue Update: Meet Emma! 🚨
This sweet, pregnant mama was just hours away from losing her and her puppies’ lives when we were able to step in and save them. Thanks to a dedicated foster, we were able to give Emma the safe space she so desperately needed. When she arrived, you could see the fear and discomfort in her eyes… but just a few hours later, she went into labor and began bringing new life into this world. 💖
Throughout the night, Emma gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies. Sadly, one was stillborn, but the other 8 are thriving this morning! 🐾💫 Emma is resting and bonding with her new family, and we are so thankful we could save them from the shelter’s high-risk situation.
