Position requires responsible, congenial team player that is capable of handling dogs and cats of all sizes, bathing as directed, including trimming nails and brushing out after they are dry. We have a brand new bathing room complete with dryer cages and bath tub on a hydraulic lift.
Position requires ability to responsibly walk pets, clean cages and runs and vacuuming and cleaning exam rooms between patients, as well and the hospital at end of day.
Opportunity for upward advancement over time as this person will be asked to assist with pet restraint during treatments periodically, and some light office duties if they arise ,such as scanning and filing.

Job Description
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Perform and supervise lab diagnostics, f***l examinations, and other microscopic tasks.
Complete and supervise animal nursing tasks such as blood collection, IV catheter placement, drug administration, and cystocentesis.
Complete and supervise radiographs, including technique, positioning, and developing if applicable.
Perform dental prophylaxis, including examination of gingival tissue, removal of calculus, ultrasonic cleaning, polishing, fluoride treatment, and taking digital dental x-rays.
Maintain and monitor anesthetized patients during procedures and recovery.
Client education, including pet nutrition and executing patient releases.
Restrain patients and supervise subordinate on patient restraint.
Maintain accurate medical records, including all logbooks.
Assist doctors in office examinations. Treat and monitor hospitalized patients.
Act as a liaison between Hospital Manager and team members
Safety Protocols and Cleaning Standards
Exhibit a technical knowledge of medications/diets/products sold, especially nutritional products and demonstrate salesmanship abilities.
Explain and educate clients on the products and answer questions concerning products.
a. Make sure patients are clean and comfortable.
b. Exercise patients on walk.
c. Clean kennels.
d. Janitorial duties including end of day cleaning.
e. Clean exam rooms after each use.
f. Put clients into exam rooms and TPR the patients.
g. Make client feel welcome.
Experience:
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - 2 years experience (plus)
Strong leadership skills are a must
DVMAX experience is a plus but not required

Our new operating hours will be Monday thru Wednesday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Thursday 8:00am-1:00pm, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturday's 8:00am -1:00pm (medication and food pick up ONLY).

Receptionist
The following is an overview of the work responsibilities for a Receptionist employed by Monarch Veterinary Hospital.
Welcome clients with their pets to the clinic in a friendly and courteous manner
Make appointments as directed by hospital policies.
Put client into exam room and make clients feel welcomed. Get weight for the technician when loading them into a room.
Clean & disinfect exam rooms after each use.
File as needed, call back all reminders and confirm appointments.
Cleaning duties will include keeping waiting room, exam rooms, and restrooms clean and smelling fresh. Shared cleaning duties with technical staff include counters, JFFD, coffee area and laundry.
Keep office supplies stocked.
May be asked to help restrain patients as instructed, directed, and supervised by the Doctor or Supervisor.
Ensure that clients are seated comfortably as they wait to be attended to by the veterinary doctor.
Answer incoming calls professionally and route calls to other staff members in line with the hospital’s protocols
Prepare patient forms and files ahead of their scheduled appointments for easy access when they arrive
Handle emergency cases appropriately by keeping clients and patients at ease before the arrival of the doctor
Review patients’ records to ensure that immunization and tests recommended by the doctor are up to date
Good, acceptable personal hygiene will be required at all times.
The Employee is under the supervision of the Hospital Administrator or Head Technician at all times.
