During clinic hours this phone number will be answered by our staff, after hours this number will reach our veterinarian. Hello everyone! We wanted to remind everyone that we will be closing at 3pm on Wednesday, November 22nd. We will be closed all day on Thursday, November 23rd for Thanksgiving. We will resume normal business hours on Friday, November 24th and Saturday. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

There will still be a veterinarian on call for emergencies.

Hello everyone! We wanted to reach out to all of our clients in regards to Rabies this spring. We have had 2 positive cases of rabies in the last week at our Corsica location. The skunks are waking up early from hibernation, and that is a cause for concern. We really want to stress how important it is that your pets stay current on their rabies vaccines. We are able to send in wild animals for testing at the Veterinary Science lab at SDSU. We do ask that if you are going to bring in an animal for testing do not injure the head. Rabies can only be tested through an intact brain and brain stem. There are protocols that should be followed when dealing with a possible rabies suspect when it comes to your pets. We have attached a link in the comments that will take you to the South Dakota Rabies Protocol for both pets and humans alike. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions!

Attention Customers! We wanted to let everyone know that with the current weather predictions, we wanted to give a few updates. We will do our best to be open tomorrow and Thursday, but it may not be at our normal opening times. We will do our best to be here as early, and as safely, as we can!

Please join Dr. Darrel Kraayenbrink at the Travel Plaza in Corsica, SD on February 7, 2023 from 10am to 1:30pm for a Beef Quality Assurance Certification Meeting and meal. This meeting is for our producers who may have a BQA Certification that has expired or will be expiring soon or are new to the BQA Certification Program. Dr. Darrel is registered in South Dakota as a BQA Trainer and will be discussing the guiding principles of BQA, including production practices, animal health and safety, and proper record keeping. We look forward to seeing you there!
We would appreciate an RSVP by Monday, February 6th by noon, but it is not required.

Good afternoon, everyone! We just wanted to let everyone know that we are planning to close at 4:00 today, pending the weather. We may possibly close earlier if the weather gets too bad. As for tomorrow, we will try to safely have someone come in, but depending on the weather we may not have someone in at all. Hello everybody! With the holiday season rolling in quickly, there will be a few days that the office will be closed. We will be closed the Thanksgiving Day, November 24th. There will be regular office hours on November 23rd and November 25th.
Dr. Ernst will be out of the office all day on November 25th. Dr. Kraayenbrink will be available that day for emergencies.
There will be a veterinarian on call for emergencies on Thanksgiving Day.
