This past Tuesday we celebrated the one year anniversary of working with the amazing Haily!🥳

One of our passionate kennel technicians, Haily makes sure that every pet that stays with us feel like they are at their 5 star vacation home away from home! She is such a hard worker, and it shows in how dedicated she is to making Gill Bright Animal Hospital the best destination for the pets of SWLA.

👩🏻Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs because everyday is chaotic, fun, amazing, and beautiful in every way.

❓What’s one skill/information that you’ve learned here that you’d never have expected?
👩🏻I never would have expected to learn so many life lessons and people skills. You would think working with animals that we wouldn't gain much experience in our communictation skills but I've gotten a lot of experience working with a team of all kinds of different personalities and just how to be positive and curious in all situations!

❓If you could own any animal (regular, exotic, mythical) as a pet, what would it be? Why?
👩🏻If I could own any animal, it would be either cattle or a Rougarou. Having cattle, and all kinds of farm animals, is a goal of mine and having a Rougarou just sounds interesting!

Today is National Pet Memorial day, and in honor of this day we wanted to share the story of an extra special cat that is dear to our hearts here at Gill Bright Animal Hospital. His name was Strut.

Strut was sweet man with an old soul. You could find him patrolling the conference room, lounging and napping in the sun, or just vibing as he would often do for over 10 years.

He came to our clinic after a Good Samaritan found him and knew he needed medical attention. We found he had a fractured leg that was very infected and had to amputate. While he had a rough start, he quickly found his place in the clinic and always seemed to take things in stride. He didn't let the loss of one of his legs stop him from exploring and jumping up on laps for some pets and scratches. He also knew how to takes things easy and always reminded us that cat naps are good for the soul. He took his final nap May 9th, 2025 surrounded by the warmth and love of our team. It was a sad day, but we look back fondly on the times we shared with this special little man.
