Check out the KPLC story about Clover being reunited with her owner! We were so happy to be able to be a part of the reunion, and also want to spread information on the importance of microchipping. Halloween is coming up soon, and we want to join in the fun! For the week of October 28 through November 1, bring your pet to their appointment in a costume! We will feature them on our page, and they will be entered to win a Spa Day Package (one entry per pet, winner will be decided via drawing). We can't wait to see some great costumes!

Last but not least is Aubrie! She is one of our newest members at Lake Area, and is currently training as a technician assistant. She has been helping with appointments, patient care, and learning how to perform all of the different diagnostic tests. Welcome to the team Aubrey, and thank you for all of your hard work!

Say hello and thank you to Annabelle! She started working at Lake Area in August 2024 as one of our kennel technicians. Annabelle is majoring in Agriculture at McNeese. She says her favorite part of working at Lake Area is getting to take care of the animals and expanding her knowledge about them. Help us say thanks to Annabelle for all of her hard work!

Next up is Kris! She is one of our kennel technicians, and has been working at Lake Area since January. Kris said she was really nervous about working in a hospital, but has really enjoyed getting to work alongside the other technicians and doctors. She enjoys getting to learn new skills to be able to help around the clinic. Kris also feels like we have helped her become more social, and she even met her best friend while working here. Thank you for all of your hard work Kris!

Next up is Kenzie! She started working with us in August, and has been doing a great job! She has special interests in animal reproduction and nutrition, horse training, and medical cases in the hospital. Kenzie's favorite part of the job is being able to watch the progress of hospitalized patients as they recover, and then being able to send them home after they are back to their healthy selves. Help us say thank you to Kenzie for her hard work!

Say hi to Macy! She started working with us in March, and has become a valuable member of the team! Macy helps with kennel and veterinary assistant duties. She said her favorite part of the job is getting to work with people who have a true love for animals! Thanks for all you do Macy!

Meet Nicole! She has been with Lake Area since February 2024, but has been working in the field of Veterinary Medicine since 1999. She has worked in small and large animal medicine, large animal ambulatory, equine sports medicine, lead technician for an orthopedic surgery specialty clinic, and is now our office manager! She is currently working toward obtaining her LVT, with the goal of obtaining special certification in emergency and critical care. Her favorite part of the job is emergency medicine and orthopedic medicine. Help us thank Nicole for all she does!
