Parvovirus: Deadly, Contagious & Preventable!

Parvo is a fast-spreading virus that attacks dogs, especially unvaccinated puppies. It causes:
❌ Bloody diarrhea
❌ Severe vomiting
❌ Extreme weakness

This virus can live on surfaces for months and spreads through contaminated areas. If your dog shows symptoms, seek emergency care immediately!

💉 Prevention is key! Make sure your pup is vaccinated and avoid high-risk areas like dog parks until fully protected.

😿 Is Your Cat Sneezing & Lethargic? It Could Be an Upper Respiratory Infection!

Winter increases the risk of URIs in cats, causing:
🔹 Sneezing & nasal congestion
🔹 Watery eyes & coughing
🔹 Loss of appetite & lethargy

Mild cases may pass, but severe infections can lead to pneumonia! If your cat is struggling to breathe or refusing to eat, seek emergency care.

💉 Vaccinations can help prevent serious respiratory infections. Stay proactive & keep your cat healthy this season!

🚨 Is Your Pet Having a Seizure? Here’s What to Do! 🚨

Seizures can be scary, but staying calm can make a big difference. Protect yourself by wearing gloves and wrapping your pet in a towel before picking them up. Keep the environment quiet and dark—turn down the radio and gently cover their eyes with a soft cloth. Transport them safely on their side and head to the Pet ER immediately if seizures last more than 5 minutes or happen in clusters.

How Our Pet ER Works

Like human hospitals, we use a triage system to prioritize care:

🔴 Critical: Life-threatening cases (severe trauma, breathing issues) get immediate treatment.
🟡 Serious but Stable: Urgent cases may wait briefly while critical pets are treated.
🟢 Non-Urgent: Stable pets are monitored while we assist higher-priority cases.

We understand waiting is tough, but this system ensures every pet gets the care they need.
