Pet Safety Alert: Thanksgiving Foods to Avoid! 🚫🐾

As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, it's essential to keep our furry friends safe. While sharing the feast is a heartwarming tradition, not all Thanksgiving foods are pet-friendly. Here's a quick guide on what to avoid giving your pets this holiday:

-Bones: Turkey bones can splinter, posing a choking hazard or causing serious internal damage. Keep bones away from your pets, and properly dispose of them.

-Rich and Fatty Foods: While a small taste of plain, boneless turkey is generally safe, avoid sharing rich, fatty, or seasoned parts. High-fat foods can lead to pancreatitis, a painful and potentially life-threatening condition.

-Onions and Garlic: These ingredients, common in stuffing and many dishes, can cause damage to your pet's red blood cells and lead to anemia. Keep allium vegetables away from your pets.

-Sage and Nutmeg: Seasonings like sage and nutmeg, often used in Thanksgiving dishes, can be toxic to pets. Keep dishes seasoned with these ingredients out of reach.

-Desserts: Many desserts contain ingredients harmful to pets, such as chocolate, artificial sweeteners (like xylitol), and raisins. These can lead to various health issues, including toxicity.

-Alcohol: Keep alcoholic beverages out of reach. Even small amounts can be toxic to pets, leading to issues like coordination problems and respiratory failure.

-Bread Dough: Raw bread dough containing yeast can expand in your pet's stomach, causing discomfort and potential digestive blockages.

Remember, the best treats for your pets are those specifically made for them.
If you suspect your pet has ingested something harmful, contact your Veterinarian immediately.

Let's ensure a safe and Happy Thanksgiving for everyone, including our furry family members! 🐕🐾❤️
