2 months ago if you would have asked me what words like Schedule 40 PVC, purple primer, clear solvent cement, connectors or ball valves meant, I would have been unable to form a logical sentence tying any of those words together.
Well guess who got on Utube and did a little investigation?
Yeah, it's taken me that long to feel confident enough to tackle such a large project and
here it is, in all it's glory...my PVC garden drip irrigation system!
I did this!
I didn't add sound to the video as there are several on utube to carefully explainthe process, however if you have a specific question FIRE AWAY and I'll answer as best as I can.
Yup I glued the correct permanent locations (everything in front of the ball valves) and yes the pipes down each row are removeable.
16 rows: 12 rows at 24" apart and 4 rows 36" apart
I used Schedule 40 PVC, with 4 ball valves each contolling the water to 4 different chambers (4 in each row), with a single garden hose attachment (no moving hoses!), and a backflow preventer at the spigot. I tested the gosh darn thing and it DOES exactly what I envisioned it would DO!
This morning I'll measure out hole spacing that will individually drip at the base of each plant, and this baby is done.
Utube Certified PVC Drip Irrigation Graduate. Woot Woot (...tossing my cap high into the air!)
Facebook limits how many pictures I can put in a post so here's a video of the current kids!
I'm still over here Needle Felting like a wild maniac with numerous little creatures completed.
I've spared you all from the torrent of non-farm related beings that have been been formed and shaped for hours on end, and each of them has been posted on another page I created a few months back. I'll post that link someday when I'm ready to pull the trigger and try to promote and manage a second FB page. For now I'll keep it on the down low...
I tried to keep this video down to 1 minute, and give an idea of the lengthy process of needle felting, however I had to leave some finer points behind.
Next baby dragon!
When you are planning out your gardens this year, don't forget to include POPCORN! Stores really well too

This is why I can't have nice things.
Just grooming ham. That is all.
