Excuse the mess. Day 2 of Mr Ed putting in a bigger water heater. It's in. Now... to get the lines to work without blowing out the connections when we turn on the water...

Sigh... It will be nice taking a shower for longer than 3 minutes.

Mr Ed was picked up by an old family friend today to go fishing. She only promised fishing, no catching. So all they brought back was the following photos. He had fun, and they're heading back out tomorrow.

She's gone. After years of pain, Connie Nell left this world at 215pm. Her son, sister and brother appreciate all the prayers.

This is Ed's two sisters. Connie Nell, who is in bed, is "Waiting for the Good Lord to take her home". Hospice is on its way here now to help us clean her up as she "wants to see the Lord in clean clothes".
Please send prayers as this family is loosing someone dear to them.

Got it up. Silly me, we thought there would be 2, but nope. Oh well. At least we have it up. Now, to find a full size bed and we can move him on in.

Took Mr Ed out on an early morning adventure to the Welborn Blueberry Festival for a pancake breakfast. While waiting in line, we noticed a huge beast just waiting for someone to ride him.
I couldn't talk him into trying the mechanical bull.

Took Mr Ed out yard saleing(?) today. It was good excersize getting up and down and walking in rough terrain. Found him his own walker for 10 dollars! Next step is finding someone to come out and build stairs leading to the camper. His Dr's said the camper stairs are unsafe so we need to replace them with something bigger with a hand rail.
We have all the wood for it. Now we need someone who can use power tools to help out.

Mr Ed's Update:
He has been home for just over a week. By home, I mean his sister's house as we need to refit the camper to make it safer for him to live in. Currently we need to get either stairs or a ramp installed to get him inside and a hand rail inside as he has 2 more steps to get to his bed. The waiting (VA should be supplying the outside ramp/steps) is driving Mr Ed bonkers. While he truly loves his sister, he misses being home.
While he was in the hospital and then rehab, he lost so much weight, from 182 down to 150, that he looks frail. Luckily, we have in home nurses coming out weekly and a great Physical Therapist who comes twice a week to help build him back up.
Not sure if I had posted this picture before, but after we picked him up from the rehab facility, we went over to his friend's house for an incredible Greek Easter (delayed for him) dinner. I snuck in this photo while he was distracted with all that yummy food.

Mr Ed is home. Well, he is at his sisters house until he fully recoups. He lost 30 pounds in the last month, but is determined to get healthy and back to running the saw mill.

Mr Ed will be getting released next Tuesday! Finally! Thank you to all who have stopped by to see him. That means more to him than you know.

As some of you may know, Mr Ed went into the hospital back on Easter. He was unable to move as his back was completely locked up on him. He has since been moved over to rehab with Bedrock here in Lake City where they have him up and moving on a daily basis.
Today I hope to meet with his doctors to find out how much longer he will be in there. As not one person has let me know anything yet, I hope it will not be today. I will give ya'll an update when I get one.

We took Mr Ed out fishing for his birthday. Two separate days. First was a boys trip with my boss Ryan, Frank the Greek and Ed. Miss Tanya appeared later with a car full of goodies to add to the yumminess Frank's wife sent.

This week with Miss Connie (so far). She went back to Styles by Marlene (her newest favorite place to be, had a little trim and style. We also went running loose in the mall again.
Later today she and I will head over to Branford and Live Oak for a mini road trip and shopping.

Meet Miss Connie, Mr Ed's younger sister. She and I ran off to have a girls day. I wish I had stopped playing long enough to get more pics though.
After getting her hair done at the salon (Styles By Marlene in Lake City is awesome!), she and I took a long stroll through the mall, dressing up and playing in all the shops. We worked up such an appetite that she actually ate an entire plate of food at The Old Town Buffet.
We went and visited with a dear friend, Tanya, who gave us a pallet of squeezable baby food for Connie's great great grandson.
This was the first time in years for Connie to get out and just be a girl. We will be doing this weekly as work permits. So stay tuned for our next adventure. Maybe we'll bring Mr Ed or their youngest sister, Miss Winnie.

If you are hankering for a belly full of some of the best food around, come out for lunch today! This food is so good, on the days I do not work for them, I am hunting them down for lunch... Cuz... YUMMMMM!!!!!!
