Spent the weekend judging some dogs with the Alamo Chapter! The best part is that it was a family affair and weller got to tag along and represent RHS! It’s always great to connect with great trainers, fellow judges and like minded dog folks! It’s even better when you get to have your son come along and follow in your footsteps! He practiced the number one thing we like to do with pups, give them some positive interactions with little people! My little trainer in the making!

Grouchy Gradmna (aka Hazel) and Miss Frankie have such an interesting relationship. Hazel has not snuggled with a dog since Rupert was maybe 2 years old. It’s been YEARS…but here we are. This little fuzzy pup has chiseled away at that cold, stone heart and somehow made her way here, right next to Hazel on her bed!

Dog dynamics are sooo intersting. If Sigi made that attempt, we’d have a “workplace incident” on our hands!

I’ll cherish these moments though, becuase there’s a contentment and ease that I don’t often get to see in Hazel in these moments.

Each girl had their own run on NYE. We spent the day chasing birds and letting the girls do what they love! It was a fun way to end our MN Pheasant season.

Cut all 4 hooligans lose for a fun hunt in the snow. Birds held tight and got to see some great dog work by all…unfortunately they were all hens.

It was fun to just sit back and watch this crew work together like a well oiled machine.
