Can you believe February is almost over?! 🤯 We can’t!
As the year progresses, a lot of New Year resolutions are crashing and burning, leaving in their wake hopelessness and tears… Maybe you intended to overhaul your diet, read that library book more, go to the local park every morning at 6 AM, or whatever other self-care ritual you promised yourself that you’ve yet to uphold. At the first sign of failure, maybe you gave up and said “I’ll try again next year” or “I’m just not meant for this.”
Sound familiar?
Well, we’re here to tell you: STOP! Perfection isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be. Aim for 75% satisfaction. Heck, aim for 35%! You may not have read your book for an hour every single day like you said you would. But what if you made it a goal to read 10 minutes for 4 days this week? That’s 40 minutes more than you would have if you had just given up.
Small, habitual changes are so much more sustainable than big ones. As you build confidence in your new habit, you also build trust in yourself. Trust that you said you’d accomplish something and you’re DOING it. A lot of our confidence comes from the promises we keep…to OURSELVES! So show up for yourself! God knows you deserve it.
This isn’t our usual post about doggos and how much we love them, but we hope it resonated with you, nonetheless. Give Biscuit a hug from us, will ya? 🐾 Happy Saturday!
