We are trying out a new thing where you can approve having a veterinary technician call you the night before your pet's appointment to get all of their information beforehand! Our goal with this new thing is to save both you and our doctor's time, provide the best care for your pet, and make appointments go more smoothly. We look forward to talking to you soon!

My whole family is being condiments. I am sweet and sour sauce, my husband BBQ sauce, my dog Alfredo is mayonnaise, and our foster dog, Rigatoni, is mustard. 😆The four cats we own have assertively declined participation.

Don't have the time, energy, or capacity to take your dog for as many walks as you think they might need/want? Doggie daycare is an option. Rover.com offers pet walkers in your area. I personally might look into posting an ad for some high school or college kids looking to make some extra cash. Remember, it takes a village sometimes--help is not the enemy!

Time for Tuesday Tips!

Trouble collecting urine your pet’s appointment? We have options. At the appointment, we may be able to retrieve urine directly from the bladder with a needle, which sounds uncomfortable but really isn’t. You could also choose a drop off appointment with us to collect that sample for you. You could use a ladle to collect the urine and keep your hands out of the way. So many options.

For our cat friends, use shredded newspaper or NoSorb pellets in the litter box and then simply pour the urine into another container to bring to us (make sure to refrigerate it to keep it usable for us).

There are dogs and cats who give blood routinely as donors for furry patients that need transfusions (for a variety of reasons). Is your pet easy-going and an ideal candidate for superhero-status? Check with your local ER vet office to learn about ways your pet can save lives.
Personal note: While employed in an ER as a vet nurse, my sweet black cat Pandora was a go-to kitty blood donor for sick patients. ❤

Thanks to our Trivia contestants! The answer was D) FELV or feline leukemia vaccines are recommended for indoor/outdoor or outdoor-only cats, as they are most likely to encounter the feline leukemia virus.

Personal story: All my cats get FELV vaccines anyway, even though they are all indoor. That's because I have ANXIETY, but we will talk about that in therapy...😁😅
