Cheeks and Squeaks was created to carry on the ethical breeding of Syrian Hamsters started by AAA Hamsters in Southern California. We are Hamster enthusiasts turned breeder but with the mentorship of an experienced ethical breeder we plan to breed just enough to keep this line going. It would be our dream to incorporate other lines that are known to be healthy and with a pedigree.

Rescued literally off the streets. His name is Joe and his age is unknown. He will need some love and kindness as he’s not super domesticated but in my experience Syrian’s come around pretty nicely. Contact .cottage to appt to adopt.

Churro ended his earth bound journey on Tuesday. He had 3 Christmas’s, fathered 4 of my litters and spent over 2 years being my little buddy. I will miss him dearly and cherish the silly antics watching him in his Niteangel cage. RIP Churro son.

Reinham alert 🦌! This popped up on my memories from 8 years ago. Back when I had time to make hamster costumes and we even did a DIY video on it which I wish I still had it. (Owned by my old work) . Bernard was my first hamster from AAA Hamsters and he’s still one of the most handsome buddies I have had to date. Miss him so much 🩷. Hope everyone is having a happy holiday season.

Otto ( called Bobo IRL ) is doing great after losing one of his horizontal top teeth. It started to grow even more to the left and up and during trimming the tooth was traumatized and ended up falling out. It was hard on Bobo but in the end a hood thing because that tooth was no fun. His next visit went super well and he was happy and loving the 2 cookies we gave him. I love this boy so much and he’s been through a lot in the the first half of his life. This mornings breakfast. I started recording after all the babies had been out but it’s sweet to see mama in there. Clarice raised her babies OUTSIDE the house until their eyes opened and I cleaned the bin. Now they are proper with a roof over their heads.
