Attention all Barking Lot families and friends! It has come to our attention that not everyone has heard about the current algae bloom in our lake! Here is a bit of information that came directly from the Geneva Lake Conservancy!

Geneva Lake algae bloom update: All municipal beaches have closed as a precautionary measure. Walworth County Public Health continues to work with Geneva Lake Environmental Agency and Wisconsin DNR to evaluate the potential hazards associated with harmful algal bloom across Geneva Lake.

Harmful algal blooms can rapidly change in severity and location due to lake conditions. Knowing the potential risk so you know where to swim is key to keeping your family and pets stay safe and healthy until the bloom clears. Swimming is the highest risk activity due to the potential to inhale or swallow water. Boating or kayaking pose less of a risk. Scan before you swim!

We are PAWsitive this is the big announcement you have all been waiting for…..we are excited to announce the arrival of not one but TWO new Barking-Lot family members. They will still require extensive training and are not quite ready for their big debut but we would like to introduce them to you!

🍼Jackson was born on May 28th and
🍼 Marzia was born on August 2nd

🐾 Jackson’s mommy, Delanie, can tipycally be found in our little dogs room taking care of all or snuggly babies. He has one older brother named Lincoln and a furry family member named Kitty. Jackson has been hard at work learning to hold his head up and he loves watching the dancing fruit videos on YouTube! We cant wait to have Delanie back to take care of all our littles that we know have missed her dearly.
🐾Marzia’s mommy, Alex, can usually be found manning the desk and her daddy, Vince, can be found in the back yard with all our spunky big friends. She also has a furry sister name Lucy. Marzia is working hard at finding her balance of sleeping and demanding ALL the food possible. Alex and Vince are both a part of our original employees from before we were even the Barking-Lot. We cant wait to have them both back in our facility in the near future!

We are positive these two cuties are already well versed in everything dog! Thank you for all your kindness and patience over these last few months as our staff members have been putting in some extra overtime weather that be growing and loving these new additions or taking care of all your furry babies!

UPDATE: Little Mr. chewy is back home with his family! 🎉

Attention Barking-Lot family we need some assistance finding this little mans hoomans! He was found in Bohners Lake but he has been moved to Lake Geneva and is waiting for his family to pick him up! He is not chipped, his picture has been posted to multiple lost and found pages, and shelters have been called to check if anyone has reported him missing. Help us share his info so we can get him home!

RESPECTED K9 PRESENTS our upcoming training options! -We are offering basic, intermediate, and advanced obedience level course all starting October 22nd -All three courses are $240 for the eight week session -Each class meets at the same designated day (Sundays) and time (different for each level) for 45 minutes for eight consecutive weeks and concludes with a skills test BASIC OBEDIENCE This class is designed for dogs 16 weeks and older. Your dog will learn the basic commands. We will go over sit, come when called from a short distance, stay for a brief time, properly greet people, ignore other dogs, and walking on a leash without pulling. INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE This class is designed for dogs who has passed the basic class or upon evaluation. Your dog will learn down, getting into the heel position, coming when called from a distance, ignoring distractions, understanding commands using just hand motions, and staying for 1 minute. ADVANCED OBEDIENCE This class is for dogs that have passed the intermediate class and can reliably walk on a leash without pulling and have sit, down, stay, and come mastered. This is an off leash class where your dog will learn how to listen and properly behave while off leash. You will learn how to teach your dog to stay for 3 minutes, and listen to commands from a distance all while off leash. We will have field trips during this class where we go to pet friendly stores or parks. Call our office today for any questions or to sign up! 🐶🦮🐕‍🦺🐕🐾 Heres just a small sneak peak into one of Shelbies previous classes!

We don’t know how we got the bests clients in the world!!! Thank you Sophie’s mom for the donuts 🍩 this week, and Yeti’s mom dropped off some beautifully customized cookies she made herself. We don’t know how we are so lucky! ❤️ We do it all for the love of the pups AND their parents. Feeling so spoiled and fortunate to have so much fun with what we do.
