My name is Madison and I am a Dog Trainer here in Lake Havasu City.

I offer in home private sessions and group classes for basic commands training, behavior issues, leash walking issues, anxiety issues, or anything else you and your pup need. I am here to help! 🐾 You want your pup moving and bending with you, watching your feet, and keeping to the pace of your walk.

🦴 Here we practice getting the pup to pick his feet up, move right and left, as well as turn all while keeping pace. A dog that is moving with you is watching your feet and paying attention to your body movements instead of getting distracted and reactive to things around him. 🐶

This is our new friend Poppy 🙂🐕

She is a 96 lb great Pyrenees mix, she has one eye and is partially disabled in her hips. She is the BIGGEST love! Unfortunately, she is unable to get in and out of the groomer tubs so today we came to her home, gave her a shave, bathed her, clipped her nails, and cleaned her ears 🙂 she was so happy afterwards!

If you have a dog that does not do good at the groomers and are struggling to get your him/her bathed , we would love to help!

We are now offering in home bathing services 🛁🐶

Hello Everyone 🙂 I know life pulls us in many different directions and it is hard to schedule in training for our pups 🐶 That is why I have decided to offer a solution!

🐕 Join our Very Important Pup Program of 2024🐕
Sign up today (or any time before December 31st) for the VIP Program and you will be able to choose any class of 2024 you would like to attend. If you are unsure of what your future plans look like and have no idea when you will be able to fit in six weeks of training into your schedule, that is okay! Each month a new schedule will be updated. Once you see a class that works for you, then you will be able to hop into that class at anytime, even the night before a class starts! All you would have to do is let us know you are part of the VIP Program. 🎄

🐾Leash control 🐾
Moving into your dog and having them move back with just your body pressure is a great technique to keep your dog under control. This takes practice and time to get just right, but your pup will realize that you are going to gain his/her attention through spacial pressure if they do not listen to your voice, nor pay attention to your body movements.

In this moment Teddy charged left as mary went right. This means that Teddy is no longer paying attention. Mary used her body to push Teddy back into his place, which is by her side, and then continued moving forward. This lets Teddy know that even if he moves away from where he is supposed to be he will be put back in his spot and will never gain ground unless it is Mary's idea. Eventually, Teddy realizes that she controls all movements and if he fights, he will lose ground. Therefore, he gives to Mary's lead because it is the fastest way to get what he wants, which is forward movement.
