As we wrap up veterinary receptionist week, we would like to take a special moment to thank each of our fabulous client service representatives and front desk staff.
Kicking it off with miss Martha whom you all know and love. Martha has been with our hospital for over 10 years and is someone who leaves a lasting impression on you. Many of our clients call and specifically ask to speak with Martha and some will even offer to call back if she’s not in or available at the moment. Don’t worry, it doesn’t make the rest of us feel like chopped liver whatsoever :P It is an incredible testament to Martha’s client service skills and means less work for the rest of us! When Martha has a day off, numerous times throughout the day we are quizzed on why she isn’t in and you can see the sigh of relief upon clients’ faces when they realize she does in fact still work here, just has a day off! This lady goes above and beyond for our clients and her team and we appreciate her every single day.
Carrie is our newest client service representative and has fit right in like family since day one. She is extremely knowledgeable, stacking up tons of years of experience in the veterinary field prior to joining our team in August of 2023. Her friendly smile and bubbly personality makes it hard not to love her. She is an asset in the front and the back of the hospital, doubling as technician. We are very grateful for all of her hard work, mom level laundry skills, and dedication to our clients and her teammates.
Amber is our file clerk and has been with our hospital since 2021. She is extremely attentive to detail and makes sure that every day our team is ready to conquer whatever gets thrown at us. From prepping each chart for the day, to making sure your pets’ lab results are waiting and ready on the doctors’ desks the minute they walk through that door, she is on top of her tasks and essential to the smooth operation of our hospital. She specializes in finding charts that are strewn all over our hospital and helps check clients in and out when everyone else is swamped attending to the phones. Her favorite part of the day is getting to love on all the frequent flyers that come in for boarding and grooming and given their excitement when they hear her voice we’d say the feeling is mutual. We appreciate her hard work and dedication to our team!
You all know Kim, our groomer! Kim tops everyone in the hospital when it comes to length of service at Novak Animal Care. She has been with our hospital since 2000! As Kim kindly likes to remind all of us youngsters, we could be her children :P Kim is an exceptional groomer having years and years of experience in the field. Not only is she a toe nail trimming magician, but she seconds as our bonus front desk staff member often helping check clients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing charts. The loyalty of her clients shows just how above and beyond she goes for them. Kim has several clients that have been coming to see her over many years spanning multiple generations of pets. We are very thankful for all she does to fill in the gaps!
Last but certainly not least, our Lead CSR Dakota! We really lucked out in October of 2022 when Dakota decided to join our team as a client service representative. It wasn’t long after that she accepted a promotion, stepping into the role of Lead CSR in July of 2023 when the opportunity presented itself. Dakota’s knowledge and passion for the vet space stems from her experience working with a large animal vet at the baby age of 15. A few years later, she began working as an assistant training horses while she was still in high school and started her own business training horses herself after graduation. Dakota takes such care with each and every client who calls our clinic or steps through those front doors. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with her, you know she’s sure to make you and your pet feel just like family.
