🐶🚨 CPR/First Aid Class is coming in October🚨🐶

If you're a dog professional, owner or thinking of being part of the doggy community, there is a CPR/First Aid Class being held Oct 26 at the Aquatic Center. This is a 6.5 hr class with a 2yr certification upon completion. Class will require some hands-on training to prepare you for real life emergency situations. Everyone is welcome.

IMPORTANT INFO ON GROOMING IN THE SUMMER

I wanted to share this with everyone since I continually get calls for grooming past 12pm.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I do not work past noon for specific reasons. It is a safety hazard in this Arizona weather. I will NOT put a dog or myself in danger of heat stroke or heat exhaustion. This is a real thing. It is not laziness on a groomer's part. It is the loving thing to do. I find it highly irresponsible to push on when temperatures are getting to the extreme levels and a groomer continues.

Thank you Everyone who came to our first CPR/First Aid Class here in our hometown, Lake Havasu City.

We had such a great turnout and still continue to get some asking for more. We will definitely be holding another class in Havasu. It is officially class day!! CPR class starts today at 10am to 4:30pm. If anyone wants to join in last minute, there is still room. Join us at the Aquatic Center about 20-30mins beforehand so we can get you registered. Fee is the same at the door as online. You will get your 2yr certification certificate at the end of class.

Come have a good time while learning how to properly help your canine buddy in an emergency situation. Looking forward to see you there.

I am sad to announce that I will no longer have my medicated shampoo available for my clients. Unfortunately, the product seems to have been discounted in the market. I have searched websites, warehouses, etc. and NOTHING. So from what I am being told, not all ingredients are readily available, making the product impossible to make. I will continue to try other products and search for a different alternative. Unfortunately, the double K Furst Aid Medicated Shampoo is no longer available.

🐾🐶🌞As the temperature rises, LHCPD Animal Control would like you to keep in mind the following summer, pet safety tips:

1️⃣ Never leave pets in the car—even a quick errand can turn deadly in minutes as temperatures soar.
2️⃣ Hydration is key! Make sure your pets always have access to fresh, clean water.
3️⃣ Provide shade for outdoor pets to escape the sun's heat.
4️⃣ Check the pavement before walks—if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
5️⃣ Whenever possible, leave your pets at home instead of bringing them along on outings.
6️⃣ Beat the heat with early morning or late evening walks to avoid the peak temperatures.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up. It is normal for me to not always answer my phone as I do work by myself and majority of the time I am occupied with some rowdy, soapy pup. I do try my best to return calls or messages in the afternoon.

However, Monday April 22, I will NOT be able to answer any calls or messages until Tuesday. I am attending a training class all day so I will not have access to my phone. 🔥Hot weather is right around the corner 🥵
With the temperature climbing next week, I will be starting my summer hours. Monday thru Friday 8am to noon. So with these hours in effect, space will be very limited. I will not be able to take on new clients. If you need to cancel, please give a 24hr notice so that appropriate actions can be taken. 🎉Just like that: First Work Week of 2023 is over. 🎉

Thanks everyone for starting the year strong. I hope everyone is doing great. I am looking forward to continuing to work with all your furry pups and making new friends. I have sadly lost many seniors and some have moved to other places for new adventures. I am currently taking on new clients and have appointments available in January. Unfortunately, this window will not be open for long as summer will approach faster than we think. Once warmer weather is here, I will have to cut operating hours back and availability will be very limited. If you are interested in getting your pup or pups scheduled, please call or text and leave a message with your info. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please be aware that not all dogs or breeds are good candidates for mobile grooming. All pups must be current on vaccines for the safety of both the pup and groomer. I do have a 80lbs. max weight. Any larger than that can potentially put the dog and myself at risk of injury. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

It is officially Christmas week. The week is busy, dogs are getting pampered and the van is strolling through town. Of course as most already know, this week is completely booked for me. I do want to remind everyone that I will be closed from Dec 24 thru Jan 1. I will be returning Jan 2, 2023. My voicemail will still be available if you want to leave a message for grooming. However, I will not be able to return calls until I return on Jan 2. I will check periodically so that the voicemail doesn't get full. Appointments will be taken in order.

If you are an existing client and have any changes, please text me so that I have it in write form. This way there is a lower chance of confusion or miscommunication.
