Adoption #95 was Eminem. He was a feral kitty that was snagged by a local trapper, underweight and with a head injury. He lucked out by finding a place at Pawsitive, then he spent a couple months with us patroling the front window and staring disapprovingly at the energetic kittens. We're glad he has a loving, warm home for the holidays.

Everyone, meet Doc. If Doc was a person, he would be the guy who brings an extra mitt to a softball game just in case someone needs one - he's the good kid in class and just wants to be everyone's friend. He's affectionate, sweet, playful, and born in May '24.

Despite his friendly charm, he's a favorite for Xena's playing/attempted murder, seen here.

Adoption #94 was Rue. Honestly we're jealous that these great folks get to take her home, she was a goofy lump of joy 🤣 Her pose here easily makes the All Time Top 10 of adoption photos.

Everyone, meet Getaway. His name is, oddly enough, kind of appropriate at the moment, as he is still pretty shy and prefers to perch himself on the shelves and watch people from there. But he's got a beautiful dark cinnamon coat, and he's easily lured to come down and say hi with treats. He's two years old, and now available for adoption or sponsorship. Introverts of the world unite!

Adoption #93 was Cardi. She was rescued from a hoarder's house in Flint, along with her mom and siblings. She couldn't have been luckier, though, because she found a family that absolutely adores her to give her a forever home!

Everyone, Meet Mama Bee. Just don't get too close and make any sudden movements, because she's really, really shy still 😬 She's been through the rescue and foster system for a couple years now, so she's definitely ready to go home for good.
Bee had one kitten of her own, and later raised two foster babies who had lost their mother 🥲
So we know she's a sweetheart, she's just taking time to get comfortable at the Beanery. You can find her on the shelf previously occupied by Cattail (who is still with us, just one shelf over 😂)

Adoptions #91 and #92 were Katniss and Felix. We kind of miss Katniss and her weirdness, but we don't think her and Xena could occupy the same space without the universe imploding. Felix was such a kind, gentle soul and we're happy this lovely family brought him home with a friend from the Beanery!

Everyone, meet Sapphire. Her name is a tribute to Blue 🥲.
Here's what Sapphire has :

Yes, our girl is 6 years old, and she's had a rough path to BCB. She was found clinging to life when rescued, and part of her recovery was having to have all her teeth extracted. You wouldn't know it by the way she straight murders a Churu though.

Adoption #90 was Fabio. This little kitten was a stray in the Holly area before he was rescued, and we knew his majestic fur and regal countenance would get him taken home quickly; sure enough he was only here three days before this lovely lady took him home.

Everyone, meet Dragon 🐲. She's only got three legs, but frankly is offended that you think she needs four. She climbs all the way to the top of the Cat Room with regularity, and is one of the first to mix it up with new toys and new roommates. She's just over a year old, and looking for a warm, cozy home!

Adoption #89 was Boa. Those of you who visited us in the last few months probably saw Boa in the "Boa Restrictor", the playpen we put out in the Cat Room so Boa could socialize with people without getting in to scuffles with the other male cats.
Boa had a very rough life outdoors for his seven years, and he needed a home where he was the only animal. This lovely lady came to the Beanery and fell in love with BoBo at first sight, and now she gives him the life of love and comfort he's always deserved. We love getting update photos of Boa sleeping peacefully ❤️

Everyone, meet Mimsy. She's a 6 month old kitten who has a little more energy than good judgement at this point 😄 She loves to play with everything and everyone, and has been known to annoy the older cats from time to time ...

It is with tremendous sadness that we want to let our supporters and visitors know that Blue, who was with us since we opened last year, has sadly passed away due to a combination of FIP and a liver disease.
Blue was comfortable, loved, and with his mother at the end. We've been keeping a close eye on Sassy and giving her extra treats and affection.
It breaks our heart that Blue never got to go "home", but we did the best we could to make him feel he was already home. Again we'd like to thank his Sponsors, our customers, and everyone who helped contribute to give these cats the best life possible.
