HOLIDAY HOURS:
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve: 8:30am-1pm
Christmas Day and New Year’s Day: CLOSED
Saturday 12/28: CLOSED

Otherwise our hours are normal, however we are shorter staffed than usual. This means medication refills may take a bit longer and we may have trouble squeezing in as many emergencies as we usually can. Have a wonderful holiday season from everyone at OAH!

We will be closed on Thursday, November 28th for Thanksgiving Day AND Saturday, November 30th. We will be open normal hours on Friday, November 29th from 8:30am-5:30pm. Please remember, limit your table food to your pets this holiday season and if you absolutely have to give something, make sure it's bland and very low fat. Have a great holiday!

As many of you know, Lake Orion recently experienced a tragedy. This has effected many Families and their pets in our community including our clients. Below we have listed a go fund me to help our clients get back on their feet.

During the explosion their beloved cat Salem, did escape but has not been located. He is approximately 2 years old and is all black with green eyes. His family is desperate to find him and make sure he is safe. If you have spotted Salem, please contact us to help reunite him with his Family. Posted in our comments is a picture of Salem to reference.

As many of you know already, our hours will be changing this week. Due to staffing issues, our new permanent hours will be 8:30am until 5:30pm on Mondays, just like the rest of the week. Our Saturdays will remain 8:30am-12:30pm for those people that find it difficult to come in during the week. Thank you for your understanding. --Dr. Zalac

* New Foster Alert*

Once upon a time there was a dog at Oakland County Animal Control that was seized from a property by the county. Five dogs total living in a hot garage with no air flow. Unfortunately upon arrival, two of the dogs were already deceased, one passed on the way to the shelter and the other two were immediately put on oxygen. The remaining two dogs were able to pull through ❤️

OCAC then put their feelers out for rescues to take the remaining two dogs and provide them with the care they needed. Unfortunately, most rescues are over max capacity and/or unable to help due to funds.

Luckily for the remaining dog, a shelter worker fell in love and worked extra hard to place him with a rescue that could provide the care he needs!

That’s where Purrs Abound stepped in! Even though they are a cat rescue, they just couldn’t say no to this face!

With that being said, Welcome Hippo the Siamese Dog to Purrs Abound 🐾

Hippo will be examined by our vet's at Orion Animal Hospital, asap to determine the next step for him to receive proper treatment. He unfortunately has trouble breathing and will need surgery to open his airway so he can live a happy life! Until then, he will receive all the kisses in his foster home until he is placed up for adoption!

I have one more post to make for this very important week. I have decided to close the clinic tomorrow in celebration of our staff and to do some team-building activities. This is for Friday, October 18th. I apologize for any inconvenience this brings, but we will be back open on Saturday with our normal hours. We love our staff at OAH!!
