Be aware of false groups. If they cannot be found through our page, they are not LOCR friendly nor are they safe.

Recently we have purged our social community of the negativity that has brought a mockery to our name sake. These former members, after being blocked for multiple violations of Facebook and LOCR standards, have taken up groups using the Lake Orion Chat Room brand and are attempting overtake the social media experience we've provided to you since 2010. These measures to deceive those searching for the original Lake Orion Chat Room show great cause for our judgment and decisions. Don't be fooled. We are the one, the only, the original, and we're here to stay.

Lake Orion Chat Room stands by its great class of members and will continue to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all for many years to come. Our team of purely volunteer administrators wishes to thank each and every one of you for your continued positive contributions to this social media experience.

We'd like to announce to reorganization of Lake Orion Lost & Found.

Beginning today, we are asking members to direct lost and found items to our main group, Lake Orion Chat Room...

As a caring community, we have redirected the efforts of this group to become Lake Orion and the surrounding areas #1 place for helping connect animals with the people who love them.

This group will now be administered by Jessica Woodward along with LOCR staff. Jessica has a long standing in the community and her knowledge of animal rescues in the area is great. Looking for that purrfect pet, this is the place. Lost yours, share it.

Again we thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing this group grow, pairing pets with their parents and bringing our members the content you deserve.

Though the holiday season has passed we'd like to remind our community that the giving season is year around.

Lake Orion Food Pantry is a non-profit organization that collects and distributes food for those is need. With your donation, Reverend Dale and his wife Patty see to it that the disabled, elderly, and those down on their luck are not with out nourishment and left to fend for themselves.

Tomorrow January 20th, you can find them at the Kroger on Lapeer Rd collecting non perishable food items. If you are unable to make it to that location, donations are accepted on Tuesdays from 9am to 3pm at

Sunday, October 7th, 2018 come to Forster Auto Wash in Lake Orion. Garrett Hoffman will be running the front end of the car wash to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness! All funds collected over the basic wash price will be donated to American Cancer Society through my Real Men Wear Pink Campaign.

Lake Orion Man dyes Beard for Charity

Matt Pfeiffer of Northern Flooring & Interiors in Lake Orion MI, nominated Garrett Hoffman of Phillips Consulting Inc. and Phillips Security Inc. for the Real Men Wear Pink of Oakland County Campaign, a mission which aims to educate about breast cancer and raise money for the families affected by this disease for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October.

Rather than waiting until October, Garrett started off early by bringing awareness and raising funds for this cause. He was challenged by Phillips Security Inc. to dye his beard pink once he hit the milestone of $2,500.00. Garrett accepted the challenge! It only took Garrett just over a week to meet this goal! The Fringe Parlor of Lake Orion, MI has graciously offered to dye his beard in honor of the challenge and for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Garrett will be present at The Fringe Parlor at 6pm on Wednesday, September 5th where his beard will be dyed pink. For those that want to participate and witness this, their address is 183 N Park Blvd, Lake Orion, Michigan 48362. The more the merrier! It's for a great cause!

The campaign nominated 28 men from Oakland county in an effort to raise awareness and raise money to help those affected. More than 266,000 women will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
