Just wanted to share some more photos of our new clinic! The building is located facing the highway and all the roundabouts. There has been some confusion as if we are in a business center or in our own building. There is a huge parking lot in front for clients and a garden as an indicator to find us.

We are directly in front of the Safeway gas station as well, consider them in our “backyard”!

Hopefully that helps as we know the roundabouts are new to most and can cause confusion. Thank you!

Address is: 9309 N Davies Rd Lake Stevens WA 98258

Does your cat hate coming to the vet? We can't blame them but we can try to prepare them for a better experience!

First, get a carrier that has structure, something where they wont flop around in. Them being in the car can be stressful enough and it will be a smoother experience if they are comfortable. Do not use old just leashes, amazon boxes, bags, or even cat backpacks as they don't have a good airflow for the kitty.

Second, don't let your cat loose in the car. The cats will whine but they are safer in the carrier than being thrown around in the car. It will decrease their anger level as well since you have to put them back in the carrier when you get to the vet again.

Third, when you first get a cat or you are planning to use the carrier, bring it out of your garage, clean it up and set it in your living room for you cat to sniff around and sit in it. Cats like to lounge and they will see it as a new place to sit rather than associating it with the vet.

Lastly, put a couple toys, blankets or something they love in it! This may bring them some comfort as well as keeping them warm and provide padding for the ride over. If an accident does happen, it will also be easier to clean up with something on the bottom!

Be prepared for your cat and have them feel the best when they come in too!

The Everett Animal Shelter has an overload of cats they are trying to take care of and find their furever🐾 homes. Adoptions are $25-$50 for all cats and dogs over 6 months old. If you are looking to take in a new pet, adopt!

From EAS: Shelters and rescues are full, and there are still thousands of homeless pets needing help.
Here's how you can help!
- Donate: everettwa.gov/shelterdonations
- Adopt locally: everettwa.gov/adopt, all cats and dogs over 6 months are $25-$50 right now thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation!
- If you've found a stray cat: https://www.everettwa.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=3839

For the first 15 days of October, the Everett Animal Shelter is reducing adoption fees for dogs and cats.

With the weather getting colder, here are some ways to keep your pet active in the winter time!

1. You can host these events in your backyard or at a recreation area. Dog parks can give your pet some off-leash time with their besties. Doggy daycares are another way for your pet to interact with others when you aren’t at home.

2. Teach your pets new obedience commands. Start off with simple ones like “sit” or “stay.” Later, teach them more complicated tricks like rolling over. These commands will help you form a closer bond with your pet. It will also result in better behavior.

3. Your pets are natural scavengers. They spend many of their waking time searching for food. Try to stimulate your dog’s mind while they are indoors. Offer your pet snacks in a feeding toy rather than giving their treats or meals to them directly. Research shows that canines enjoy their food more when they must work for it.

4. They are just as effective as walking pets outdoors in the wintertime. Here are some guidelines to use a treadmill.
-Set the treadmill at low speed.
-Place a high-value treat in front of your pet’s nose, then ask it to walk toward you.
-After your dog acclimates to the speed, you can increase it slowly.
-Monitor your pet at all times to ensure it is comfortable when you use the treadmill.
-When your pet shows signs of fatigue, take it off of the equipment.
