Hello,

My name is Amy Sarver, Highway Commission for Warren Township. Due to the size of this year’s project, it is imperative that I thoroughly communicate with you and keep you informed throughout each phase of the 2022 Paving, Concrete Curb & Sidewalk Project.

I have attached information regarding the upcoming 2022 paving, concrete curb and sidewalk project as well as information regarding this year’s spring clean-up program.

For more specific details and to view all of the road-work, sidewalks and curbed areas that will be affected by the project, please ask residents to view current projects under the Highway Department tab on the Warren Township web site - warrentownship.net . Please also ask residents to visit the Warren Township Highway Department page for project information and updates.

Your assistance in getting this information out to all of the residents within your subdivision is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please give me a call at the Highway Department office at 847-244-1101, Ext. 301.

We are working to correct the sign that was posted by the hill at the main entrance. The sign posted says “NO SLEDDING”, but was supposed to say “SLED AT YOUR OWN RISK”. Families are still welcome to use that hill for sledding.

With Halloween approaching, here are some things to consider:

If you plan on participating.....
1)Turn house lights on.
2)Think about hanging a sign up welcoming Trick or Treaters(The Village of Lake Villa has attached an example below which I have shared).
3)Brainstorm ideas on how to hand out candy to children without having contact(some great ideas are available on Pinterest).
4)Practice safe social distancing measures while walking with your children to Trick or Treat.

If you do not plan on participating.........
1)Please turn your house lights off.
2)See the attached example of a sign shared by the Village of Lake Villa, notifying children that you will not be participating this year.

Let’s plan a safe and enjoyable holiday for our children.
