👉It's not gonna happen until you put your Ego down.

That's right. You. You. You. It's not about you!

As per phone calls I had with a couple of dedicated students of the horse this morning, it suddenly dawned on me that The Single Reason why most people's horses are not buying in is because people refuse to let their Ego down!

Instead, people have chatter in their heads: " I don't want to look bad", "I want to accomplish something", I feel it's taking too long", "I just want to lope a circle!", "I just have to push through this sticky spot,", "I can't do that, so I will move on and feel better about myself...."

So they work with Egocentric thoughts instead of thinking, "Oops, did I just blow through a threshold?", "Is my horse curious- or non responsive?", "Maybe he needs me to slow down even more so he can think..."

Yeah. It's not about you! Your horse is begging for it to be about him. To Be Heard.

So put down that Ego! What does your horse need from you Right Now that will make a difference in his relationship with you?

Cookie cutter programs make you feel good about Yourself while your horse complies obediently- but unwillingly.

Truth.

But, If you choose to Make Yourself Focus only about your horse- time (and the world) will slip away, human interactions will take a backseat, and you won't be anywhere- but where your horse Needs You To Be.

I promise, it will make a difference.

Your horse feels danger! (They are not being "silly".)

Let them set and look at it, dwell there- longer than you want to!

👉How do you get obedience?

Your horse will obey you unconditionally if

You love them

You guide them

You give free will and reward good choices

You teach boundaries, with non negotiables

You help them, one step at a time

You reassure them

You are fair, but firm

You take your time and be patient

You allow them to be curious

You answer their questions

You allow mistakes without punishment

You show them the good way is the easy way

You are trusted for your consistency

You teach them to be courageous

You work on yourself, then the relationship

You demonstrate and teach emotional control

You teach them to think, not react

You do it for, not to, the horse

You prioritize your objectives to always put the horse's mind, body, and spirit, first (might be the hardest thing for people to do!)

You understand their fears, but remind them you are their protector

You show them clearly what they need to do

You make your horse a promise that you will show them good, true, and beautiful things

You love them.
