Dr. Dan will be embarking on a new chapter in his career as he moves to Companion Animal Hospital of Lake Zurich, just down the street. This opportunity will allow Dr. Dan to continue as your veterinarian without the rigors of running and maintaining Alpine, something he has done since 2000! We will continue to see patients and clients at our current location until Wednesday, June 28th.

Should you have any questions or concerns during this transition period, our team will be available to assist you every step of the way. You may reach us at (847) 540-0010 or contact Companion Lake Zurich directly at (847) 438-3750.

Companion Animal Hospital of Lake Zurich is located at 917 S Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047, less than a mile southeast of our current location. Current records will be accessible at Lake Zurich after June 28th, 2023.

In case you did not receive the 1/13/23 email, Dr. Dan and staff will be gone on vacation 1/31/23 thru 2/5/23 and Alpine Animal Hospital will be closed. Should your pet need urgent medical care during this time, please seek treatment at the Veterinary Specialty Center, Companion Animal Specialty and Emergency Hospital, Dundee Animal Emergency Hospital or Premier Vet Group. Regular business hours resume Monday, 2/6/23. We will be in tomorrow and Friday 8am to 6pm if you need a medication refill or have any questions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for understanding!

Hello everyone! We hope you are all doing well these days. The hospital will be closed Thursday, 11/24/22 and Friday, 11/25/22. Happy Thanksgiving! Also, it has been 20 months since we discontinued Saturday hours and Dr. Dan has decided to make this permanent. Our regular business hours will remain Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. to Noon. We will post Christmas Holiday hours very soon. Thank you.

Hello Alpine Animal Hospital followers! We hope you are all doing well and hanging in there! We continue to see patients in the hospital but unfortunately are back to requiring masks be worn by anyone entering the building, children included. Also, to limit contact in our exam rooms, Dr. Dan will perform your pet's physical, etc. in the treatment room and then speak with you back in the exam room. Please only bring pets that have an appointment. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Hello everyone! We have dropped all COVID restrictions other than anyone not fully vaccinated should wear a mask, including children. You no longer need to call upon arrival, just come on in! We are scheduling technician nail trim appointments but please allow a week or two to get in. This applies to annual exam and vaccination appointments also. Call ahead so you can get the date and time that works best for you (we continue to remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays). Thank you!

IMPORTANT CHANGE IN OFFICE HOURS - CLOSED SATURDAYS
To our loyal and valued clients: Due to a combination of staffing shortages and the fact that Dr. Dan has worked 6 days a week for the last 21 years, as of 3/13/21 we will be closed on Saturdays for the foreseeable future. We will make every effort to meet the needs of all our patients. Thank you for your understanding and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Covid Policy Update -
Dr. Hamblin continues to see patients with the following policies in place.
1. We ask that you refrain form bringing your pet in if you are not feeling well or have been exposed to someone ill.
2. YOU MUST WEAR A MASK TO ENTER THE HOSPITAL. THE MASK MUST FULLY COVER YOUR MOUTH AN NOSE AT ALL TIMES!
3. Call when you arrive at the hospital, not when you leave home or are close by - CALL UPON ARRIVAL. We will let you know when you may enter the building.
4. For medications, call when you arrive & we'll let you know when you may enter the building.
5. We are limiting the number of people in the lobby so 1 person, wearing a mask, is allowed in at a time with their pet(s) for an appointment. Children are not allowed in the building.
6. Your pet will be examined by Dr. Hamblin in our treatment room, then he'll discuss his findings in the exam room with you.

We appreciate your cooperation adhering to the following rules. Such precautions are necessary to limit our staff's exposure to potential disease so that we may continue to keep our doors open to service your pets.

UPDATE: We are currently open regular business hours for curbside appointments and medication or product pick-up. Just call for an appointment or product request and please be prepared to provide credit card information and a mobile phone number. When you arrive for your visit or product pick-up please park in a space near the front door, if available, call us to tell us you are here and we'll be out to get your pet or set bagged product on the front window sill for your retrieval. We ask that you remain in your vehicle for the duration of the appointment while ONLY your pet enters the hospital with one of our Technicians. Dr. Dan then calls you to discuss the exam, etc. Thank you for your cooperation and patience. We'll get through this difficult time if we work together. Please be safe!
