This is Cooper, a bouncing 5 yr old who thinks he is a puppy. He has happily lived with a cat (though there was a chase here and there) and also other dogs, small and large. He is calm in the home but needs to run free daily as he is high energy outdoors and a gifted athlete. Harsh methods send him to memories of his sad history which, though tragic, he

has remained happy and playful and overly willing to please. Cooper has his basic obedience work down and loves to learn more, so we started Canine Freestyle dance and he remembers every move without practice. His unusually keen eyes, ears, and nose make him an over attentive watch dog causing some anxiety but recall to a place command removes it. His ability to do nose work or search and rescue would be competitive with any top performers. Cooper cannot live with small children, and because of his fear of most men, will first need further training in this area to become comfortable with his surroundings in public and home. This is a highly intelligent dog with a good, positive working attitude and strong drive wanting to be developed by an experienced Doberman owner. I am a good helper and do my own chores.

I was busy in my yard snoozing in the sun with my new friend I found. When foster mom called me in I brought him with me of course. Not nice to abandon new friends outside. Then mom picks up this lovely “rock” she called him while I was busy guarding him from dangers of outdoors. Away he GOES! Why do parents aways have to ruin your new friendships😧 🐢.

Cooper gave me the best birthday 🎁 present by coming such a long way in his obedience class. He tried so hard to be good and please me in a class of multi high anxiety dogs expressing themselves. Thank you Cooper.
