We DO NOT and will not train any dogs on psych meds like anti anxiety or any of that stuff. We always wanted them raw and purely them…
When we began down this journey we signed a contract with ourselves that we would NEVER box in our mind and curiosity. We would never “accept” things because “that’s just the way it is” or “well it’s always been that way, that’s the way it’s done.” We knew to be able to prove ourselves right, we would have to question every school of thought, every philosophy, and adapt the best of each to the best of our ability to be well Rounded and ready to show the world that THERE ARE NO BAD DOGS. Every dog can be REDEEMED (granted that there isn’t a cognitive disorder that doesn’t allow for processing of the brain correctly) . Until this day, we have shot 100%.
We are very unconventional in our approach, thought process and in our philosophy. We haven’t been the most popular within our industry. About us

We genuinely love dogs here at A Misfits Tail. Somewhere along the line, the communication between us and our Misfit gets distorted which leads to tension and desperation (in certain cases). We know what it’s like to be a Misfit and be given up on. We are here to change that!

If as humans, we can’t navigate “grey” areas, what makes us think that dogs can? We must show them what is and isn’t acceptable and teach them what is expected out of them. We do that here. With our training regimen that is specifically tailored for every dog, we figure out What is wrong and WHY your misfit is doing what it is doing. Once we figure out the why, we then root it out and teach them - using k-9 science - what is expected. We equip you and your misfit with tools that will help you and them be confident for the rest of your lives together.

We understand that dogs do not “generalize.” This is why we go to you, where the problem is and take care of the issues where they’re happening. We will not board your dog in and say we trained them. We train them in the areas that they need the behavior modification in. Once we train them, we constantly test them to assure that they are choosing correctly and utilizing the tools we have taught them.

We love what we do, here at A Misfits Tail, you and your Misfit are not clients, you become family.
