The Florida native ”Bess Beetle” also known as Cow Bugs!! These guys live off of broken down oak-like woods and live in soil based habitats. They are known for their clumsy and friendly demeanors. Very docile and silly gentle giants! They are jet black big SUVs with fluffy furry antennas! We have a few left at the Show Me Reptiles! Show in largo FL today. Come grab some for the most adorable pets 🖤 Not sure how to keep them? Come meet us and get the information before taking them home! ☺️

Did you know we breed millipedes too? 🪱🖤🖤

Our “super soil substrate” We love our isopods and try our best to give them the upmost respect and care. The best way to do that is to nourish them! I have had this ducky Colony for at least 4 years now and I started it with our super soil substrate back then. I have not changed it out once over these 4 years. I have added things to it here and there but for the most part this has been breaking down the entire time. The more broken down the better. As you can see there are old leaves, wood chips, mulch chips, charcoal, cuttlebone, moss strings, etc. my duckies are ALL OVER THE PLACE because of this super soil. It has everything they need and more! Remember: the best way for your pods to thrive is decomp. Leaves, wood rot, mulch, everything can break down and that’s what you want! 🖤🖤
