A quick update to all of our amazing clients. In the next few weeks our clinic will be transitioning our practice software. We are looking forward to the new update and know you will love many of the features. With that being said this will mean some learning curves and possibly some minor technical issues. Please be patient with us over the next several weeks as our staff works to bring you a more streamline experience.

You all are doing an amazing job helping your neighbors clear debris, but here's some extra information from Polk County Emergency Management if needed;

Polk County residents with questions regarding hurricane debris are advised to call the Hurricane Milton Residential Debris Hotline at (833) 843-1920. This is the only number that will be able to provide answers for hurricane-related debris questions. The hotline will be active from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., beginning Thursday, Oct. 10.

Place debris in piles according to the categories listed below. Place them away from powerlines and other fixed structures so debris haulers can maneuver. Residents should separate debris by the following categories:

🌴 Vegetative Debris (unbagged leaves, logs, plants and tree branches)
🪵 Construction and demolition debris (building materials, carpet, drywall, furniture, lumber, mattress, plumbing, etc.)
🔌 Appliances and white goods (A/C units, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, etc.)
⚡ Electronics (televisions, computers, etc.)
⚠️ Household hazardous waste (cleaning supplies, batteries, paints, pesticides, etc.)

The Hurricane Milton Residential Debris Hotline is for residential hurricane debris recovery only. It is not intended for residential household waste. Additionally, the hurricane debris hotline will not address hurricane-related debris for businesses or commercial entities.

Residents are urged to continue to follow local news media, the county’s website at www.polk-county.net and our social media for updated information.

We have been unable to get a reliable signal to post an update. We hope everyone is ok and our hearts are with everyone who has sustained damage and is without power. At this time we are closed today. The clinic now has power so we are planning on being open regular hours tomorrow. We may or may not have phone or Internet service, but we plan on having whatever staff members are able to make it in tomorrow here. Any further updates will be here on Facebook as service allows. Stay safe.

We thought we would share in case anyone needs information on pet approved shelters. There is a link in this post that will let you know which shelters here in Polk county are pet friendly. Most pet friendly shelters are going to require at a minimum vaccine records and a kennel. Please give us a call Monday if you think you might need anything providing proof of vaccines and we will do our best to make sure it gets to you.

Based on the current projections and estimated time of Hurricane Milton’s arrival to Polk County, special needs shelters will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, public and pet shelters open at noon on Tuesday. For a full list of shelter locations visit www.polk-county.net/news/polk-county-shelters-to-open/

Some people have asked about updates on our little friend Team Aubrey Hope here is her latest update. Be sure to follow her page for updates and ways you can help 🫶🎗️

Our girl completed her 2nd round of iv chemo yesterday for this 3rd fight.

This is a low dose “easy” chemo called venorelbine. She ✨shouldn’t✨ lose hair, but could. We are doing 2 doses, 1 per week, on and 1 week off for a cycle. Combining that with one of her current oral chemos daily. We’ve added another one, siralimus, nightly. We are also trying to get something else approved. . . Initially we were trying for a drug that has killed rhabdo in mice or stopped its growth at minimum. But when we tried to fill it, we found out it wasn’t fda approved for kids yet. Ridiculous. Would that be where right to try would work?
So we are going to try the cousin to that drug. It may do the same thing but hasn’t been studied on rhabdo in mice like the other had. However, this one, Zolina, is being denied from all insurance angles. We’re going to try again and dr is submitting more data but it that doesn’t work we will revisit and change what we’re doing.

Our goal is to go at this for 2 cycles, we’re already almost one cycle in, and then do scans. If it’s not working we will try something else.

We spoke with Dr Anderson in Cleveland I loved his ideas. However if you recall my post about the crap of not being able to access procedures, that’s it. We’ve found out that our hospital does this Y90 procedure and Cryoablasion as well but we have to wait and see if they’re willing to do it on a child. If not we will find someone that will, but Dr Eslin thinks we need to wait till the next scan either way, idk. Either way those wheels are turning.

He’s also sent our last scans to our Miami surgery team and seeing if he can follow Dr Andersons ideas to remove some. I’m ready to do it.

MSK…. We still don’t know the results but we decided to start our own treatment while we wait.

We’re also doing high dose vitamin c and methylene blue iv. I’m sending our dr every lead and he’s exploring it. Please keep them coming and we will keep on doing all the things we’re doing at home. Aubreys health is well and we want to keep it that way. For all we know it’s working and the cancer is dying.

Can you please share this update? I’m also going to link our Gofundme and our links to donate. We still need your help. We want to be doing 2 treatments a week, and currently can only afford one. And we have to choose vitamin c and cbd or methylene blue. And we don’t know which one is doing the most good so this is a hard choice. What would you pick? Science is there for both. But insurance won’t cover either one.
