Saying goodbye Is the hardest thing any of us has to do. Unfortunately, it’s part of life but I find it especially difficult when it’s unexpected.
I never thought I would hear the news about my good friend and mentor passing.
Yesterday, was a difficult day for me. Like most of us, I too have suffered the loss of loved ones before, but nothing leaves me longing for more time than the unexpected loss. Doesn’t matter if it family, friends or even our fur-babies … I always want more time.
There’s so much I still needed to share, say and do! It’s so hard to say goodbye especially when you didn’t get the chance for that last talk. I was not prepare for this loss and I feel bad I took it for granted that you’d always be there … I never expected you to be gone so soon.
As I received the news of your passing; that my longtime friend and mentor gained her wings 🪽 😢 I was devastated…
You have always been one person that would listen to me blab about my cats for hours. Not everyone understands this hobby and way off life so it’s very unique when you have that connection and understanding. We shared the same hopes and dreams when it came to the kitties. You always helped me decide on my next show cat and help me make decisions that would further my catteries’ growth. You were my was my biggest cheerleader 📣!
You always knew what to say and
knew when to give a hug even if it was through the phone. When I was having a bad day or show all I needed to do is call you. You’d quickly remind me of how far I came along and all I have to be grateful for. You introduced me to some other amazing Persian breeders who have helped me in making dreams come true by offering me some “kick ass” cats that I wouldn’t have without your referral. So, goes without saying I wouldn’t be where I am today without your guidance and wisdom. Thank you for your patience and your willingness to listen, educate me and encourage me. You will be missed until we meet again Slater Treibly
