The difference between shelter life and knowing they are free because someone gave them a chance.
Their foster has named them Brooks & Dunn 🩷

However, saving them from being euthanized was only the beginning. We need help! They will need to be fully vetted, as well as have the tumors checked out and this is going to be expensive! If you can help at all, we would appreciate it SO much!!!! The PayPal code is in the pic below, but it’s

Weight: 12.4lbs

Good with kids: Yes
Litter box trained: Yes

Meet Angel, a handsome Maine C**n mix cat with a fun personality. Since joining his foster family with his brother Stitch, he has made incredible strides in overcoming his complete fear of people. Angel went from a feral kitten that could not be touched or looked at, to your regular house cat. He can be a bit shy until he feels you are safe, but he is very sweet once he lets you in. He LOVES attention and will even follow you into the bathroom to get it 😉.

Angel has done well in his environment that includes younger kids, dogs (extra-large), and cats. He came in with his brother Stitch. He does not mind the dogs at all (even will lay with the foster families English Mastiff), plays well with his brother, and does fine with the foster family’s cat when she isn’t being grouchy. He absolutely adores his foster mom but can be selective with the other family members. He will let you hold him and brush him. He will let you cut his nails, but he does not like it at all and may try to get away. Angel is great at using his litter box. He was being free fed but does tend to overeat, so scheduled feedings (or small feedings) may be best. He does enjoy your occasional meat samples during dinner, and sometimes will beg like a dog (which is kind of cute!).

This young fella loves playing with toys, particularly his wand with feathers and play mice. He loves to be crazy with his brother in the early evening, and sleep and play in the cat trees. He does not meow much. His favorite spot is snoozing in the cat tree or trying to sleep on/next to his foster mom or one of the families’ dogs.

Angel would love to become a forever member of your family!

He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines.
Adoption fee: $300

Meet Stitch, a handsome Maine C**n mix cat with a beautiful coat. Since joining his foster family, he has made incredible strides in overcoming his complete fear of people. Stich went from a feral kitten that could not be touched or looked at, to your regular house cat. Although still timid until he feels you are safe, he is so sweet once he lets you in. He is your typical, I will come to you cat when he wants attention.

Stitch has done well in his environment that includes younger kids, dogs (extra-large), and cats. He came in with his brother Angel. He does not mind the dogs at all, plays well with his brother, and does fine with the foster family’s cat when she is being nice 😊. He absolutely adores the 9yo girl in the house but is more selective with the other family members. He will let you hold him, brush him, and cut his nails, but tends to be more of a loner in the house. This may change pending on the home dynamics, and as he continues to grow in confidence! Stitch is great at using his litter box, and currently free feeds and does not overeat. He likes cat treats as well.

This young lad loves playing with toys, particularly his wand with feathers and play mice. He loves to be crazy with his brother in the early evening, and sleep and play in the cat trees. He has a cute meek meow. His favorite spot is in the book nook of a windowsill watching the birds and people passing by.

Stitch would love to become a forever member of your family! Because Stitch is more on the shy side, he would do best in a quieter home.

He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered.

Hi! I'm Anabelle. I'm a 9 year old Border Collie Black Lab mix. She is a gentle and loving dog who likes to be around people. Anabelle loves to go on walks and be outside. She is afraid of storms and the sound of shooting guns and will want to be inside if either of those occur. She is great with kids and people and when properly and slowly introduced to dogs she is fine. She is looking for a loving home where she can get the attention she deserves!
This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in learning more, please e-mail [email protected]

Today my heart is heavy. Not only did the entire rescue community lose an amazing advocate for SO many animals, but I lost a friend. Rescue is not for the faint of heart. Every single person in rescue is passionate about animals and literally dedicate their lives to saving them. We make mistakes. We cry. We get angry. We lose faith in humanity. We lose sleep. We spend a ton of our own hard earned money. We miss holidays. We miss birthdays. We suffer. We love. And we love hard. And one of the biggest things we deal with is bullying and people belittling us and making us feel like we are never doing enough. Or we are doing it wrong. We have supporters. And we have haters. Some of us suffer from depression. Anxiety. We choose animals over people because the only time they ever hurt us is when they leave this earth. They don’t make us feel sad. They don’t hurt our feelings. They don’t put us down. They simply just love, with all they’ve got. If you ever met Mikayla, your life was forever changed. She wasn’t just a beaming light for animals, she was an advocate for people with mental health issues. She openly talked about it. The founder of Saveafox Rescue took her life because of people bullying her. She was autistic. She had depression. People didn’t care. She had millions of supporters and a few haters. A few haters that made her life so miserable, she couldn’t take the pain anymore. She left behind a young daughter (who will undoubtedly follow in her amazing mother’s footsteps with the rescue), a husband, a family, friends, and SO many thankful animals. While we all try our best to save what we can, Mikayla ALWAYS went above and beyond. She shut down a fur farm with 500 foxes. 500. One person. A LOT of supporters. Many volunteers. A supportive husband and child.. We can’t even fathom closing down one farm with 500 animals at once. She was one of the most dedicated people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
I’m BEGGING you, to please STOP bullying people. STOP thinking what others are doing is wrong because it’s not the way you may have done it. STOP with the hate. Millions of people in this world are suffering and are one comment away from ending their life. Please start spreading love. Compliment a stranger. Support causes that mean something to you. Do your part to make this world a little better. But for the love of all, please just be kind. This never should have happened. Mikayla, thank you, for making my life better. I will never forget your kindness, your jokes, our funny messages about our husbands putting up with our shenanigans, your true beauty.
If you are able, please send a little donation to Saveafox to help her husband carry on her legacy.
